It's not an unpopular opinion. It is a fact. When Arijit Singh can have a 40 year career like Sonu Nigam which includes film songs, multiple hit albums, multiple independent songs on streaming platforms, dance videos, hosting a musical TV show at age 21 that changed the definition of classical music in India in the 90s, judging multiple talent shows, sold out concerts for 3 decades and millions of fans from 3 generations, then we can start the comparisons. Until then everyone can sit down.
