Former pro-ballerina here, and your comments on this are spot on, and probably overly kind 😂. The world of ballet is a lot harsher than most people realize and you really don’t make friends (I was in NYC and it was brutal). People always said I must be so creative (which I am not), but ballet is more about being a great mimic and a great technician. You are there to bring the choreographer’s vision to life, not your own. Normally when a young, creative dancer says they want to be a ballerina I tell them don’t do it. And then I show them my feet 😂. I’m glad you found other art forms where you can express your own style of dance - I think you are both wonderfully talented artists ❤

Wow ! ! This is such a wholesome relationship and I really hope it is always protected. I’m a 39 year old women and had a son at 18 years old. I love my life but it was filled with challenges as a single mom living in poverty. Now I have a great life but it’s very different from yours.
