Aren't they going away from that business model with the Split sequel Glass?
@ClementeAnthony3
@ClementeAnthony3 6 жыл бұрын
No, their sequels always go a little bit higher, because it's a proven, successful property, I heard in another interview he said originals top out at $5 million and sequels top out at $10 million.

MovieAce I think your mistaking the distribution fee for the actual budget the films cost $5-10m but it costs the distributor $30m to release it. As for “Glass” that’s not a solely funded Blumhouse film like Split was It’s a Co-Production between Disney and Blumhouse so the budget is much higher than Jason Blum allows.

does that jason blum recognize his white priviledge by telling the director what to do with his own film narrative? did he not make the same movie talking about racial issue with white people always wanting control??
@coldsuncrowfeet

he does because he said he was wrong during this interview.

Oh please. What about Blum's privilege as an experienced producer with a first time director? NO first time director working for a major studio would ever expect absolute freedom with narrative choice, and especially say in how to market. Grow up.

Your point? These people make the studios gazzilions of dollars, and have all been fully vetted. Is there a percentage number for the people of color you have in mind to replace them? Be careful about dismissing the discipline, hard work, and experience of particular individuals under the rubric of "white privilege." Far too broad of a brush.
