This episode has it all:
A Shelby GT350
A Mustang 5.0
A (fake) cocaine-using drummer to explain cross-plane versus flat-plane-crank firing order
Randy Pobst
A dyno test of the GT350: 467 whp and 374 lb-ft!
A Dodge Charger Pursuit Cop Car
Lap Battle - Cop car vs. GT350
Pay close attention to the right-rear of the GT350 on the dyno. It's scratched up. I ate it on Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and hit a tire wall. Because... unprofessional idiot?

At the time base price was $49k. In a normal world they would’ve deprecated like a car normally does. Albeit slower than other cars and I imagine there would be a certain point where they stopped considering how unique this Mustang is. It makes finding a decent deal on one of these extremely frustrating lol.

@@RSNitsua yeah, I want to meet the person that pays 65k for a 2-5 year old car that didn’t cost that much new, and has 40k miles on it. Oh, and if it happens to be painted white with blue stripes, tack on an extra 5-10k 😂. A lot of these cars will continue sitting in lots because there aren’t enough stupid people to buy them, thankfully. I was going to get one myself but can’t justify spending over msrp for a used car that is likely beat to sh*t, and doesn’t exactly have the most reliable motor. So I figured an e92 M3 was the next best thing, but the guys selling those are also pricing their cars ridiculously. An M3 that would’ve sold for 45k ends up going for 70k only a few months later. Of course, they get laughed at and the only people justifying the price are other M3 owners who are doing it just so they can attempt to make profit from their own car.

I just so happen to be in the happy position to compare: A friend has one of these; I found myself a (much slower) early 4.3L V8 Vantage, improved substantially with headers and reflash; and we had access to a 360 Modena with Tubi exhaust (didn't realize that the Ferrari 3.6L V8 revs past 8500..). Somewhere in this triumvirate exists a pure sonic nirvana. The GT350 might be closest to that perfect zone, like the sweet spot in a Venn diagram. It does burn through quite a lot of oil, though..
