Nothing to do with being good or not good, Rashford deserves all the criticism coming his way for not trying, which was obvious on many many occasions.

My issue like many with Rashford is he does not seem to want to play for the club. If you are playing poorly then bust a gut and chase the ball down rather than walking around the pitch. We cant say he has "potential" as he aint young anymore but he has all the ability he just needs to be more consistent

the way I see it i think ineos are starting their own thing and they are basically re-signing ETH for their own project and would have made him promises to that regard of course it would be taken in to account that he is a bit further along and he will be assessed accordingly but it seems to me like a reset from INEOS using their own template hence the new contract with new responsibilities and all. they have decided he will be the man to start the new era with them else they could easily have triggered his extension clause to give a sense of job security and not a new deal.

There are players already out of the squad so a thin squad depth just got thinner. No money to spend, need to sell Rashford, Sancho and Eriksen and bring six quality players in, two CB, LB, RB, CM and CF. No more inverted wingers They need to poach Brightons recruitment personnel. Want to see Pellestri and Diallo get more game time.

He had a run of a dozen games where he scored goals, other than that his entire career has been one of mediocracy. Overall an average player who lacks the mentality to be an elite player.

I'm not so sure fans will turn quickly on Ten Hag if he gets a bad start. A bad start doesn't change the fact that the alternatives aren't that good and if United have a bad transfer window and/or it looks more like the players down tools, I think fans will turn more on players and on Ineos and Glazers than on Ten Hag. Ineos need to properly back Ten Hag so that he and fans have no excuse if he fails.

to this very day i still dont understand the discussion around rashford... he has NEVER been world class, he had a 6 month hotstreak and was handed a 350k per week contract because of it.

Rashford's behaviour recently is unbefitting of the Man United shirt. He needs to be sold, he is a bad example to the young players in the squad and the likes of Mainoo and any other young player from the academy that makes it into the first team needs to steer clear of that. Standards, professionalism and discipline needs to return.

@@jhpfdijtuiweruot He didn't write that others "could not" be affected. He just gave an example and if he's a big fan of Mainoo, it makes sense that he would think of him first. It might be that he thinks Mainoo is the biggest talent since Rashford. Not everything is racism, my friend ;)
