As a Jason enjoyer myself, I just forget how op Nair special is at times

Cause he is. I’m not even a Morty main but I know he is. He’s only got one reliable kill confirm, and even then when the opponent gets to too high of a percentage it fails making it worse against heavy opponents. His alternate combo route isn’t true, and can be dodged out of. They even nerfed his one consistent tool, the earth spike, recently making it slower and narrowing the hit box and changing the name split for the worse. Any Morty that can win with him is due to their ability alone and not cause he’s broken. That’d be like watching Mike Trollinski play Scorpion and winning and saying that cause he does scorpion is top tier and needs nerfs (everybody and their mama knows he’s bottom of the barrel).

@@Naz-jc5tp i think you are following a bit too much of veriflied aren t you ? Morty wins lots of mu just by camping to have his mud wall. That kill option is not just reliable but super reliable as u can take stock way too early. At higher percentages i agree However at really high percent you are stun for so long that morty can still up air you so he kills you. Morty isn t weak at all cuz he has the mud wall. If he didn t have that option yh he d be trash. But fighting morty is as annoying as a joker or a shaggy cuz you get hit twice then you are at kill percent of an option that he can nearly spam as he wants. The most important point is that it is boring to deal with that character, in particular when you ve faced before a joker or other broken characyer then you have to fight that tiny hurtbox character that can camp u all the game and kill you with just a side b. Then they teabag and thinks their good. A part from veriflied i ve never seen anyone do some cool things with morty It is just mud wall all day And it works Just like arya down tilt Or before patch side b wonderwoman Etc...

@@lukasfaucher Though I watch Veriflied, he isn’t the only Morty I’ve seen. I’ve also seen tons of Mortys actually shy away from using mud wall as much as he does. Mud wall is a pretty consistent option for Morty, but it’s really his only good option. As his other moves are either strictly for utility, or just are straight up bad. It’d be different if he had access to other tools, and you saw Mortys spamming mud wall, but that’s really all he’s got atm. Even though shaggys spam kicks, they’ve got other good moves as well, same with Joker. It’s crazy that a bruiser character functions more like a zoned than most of the cast that have zoning focused abilities. You might find it annoying but what else are they supposed to do?

@@Naz-jc5tp humm Stun gun is awsome, snakes kills at 50 for free. Up air is an amazing move for juggle. Dair is good, not awsome but not useless. His up b is straight up amazing as recovery tool when not on cooldown. His aerial side b as armor and is good to recover, with no cooldown. The grenades have a good control of space (even if they don t have hitboxes u don t want to walk on them because of the threat of being blown up) and straight up kills some character at 40, for the heavies it is at 70. Without forgetting how good it can be in ledge trap as it just blows you into the blast zone if u don t dodge it. And if u do and the morty didn t make it blow, he can catch u. Down b spawns a grenade and the come back to e place can be useful, just nobody uses it cuz if place it on the ground ofc u ll get destroyed. Sair doesn t connect at mid ans higher percent yes on that i agree. Dash attack is slow but kills And u ve got confirms with the dash attack i believe. Overall it doesn t seem that bad. Look at velma at the release of multiversus. And then you have a real bad character. At minimun morty is just under tom and jerry. And yes they have nothing else to do, but see it is a play style harder to counter than just other mindlessly spammer. A shaggy that just spam side b will be easy to counter because of the lag it has, because it is predictable. Morty mud wall has low lag and difficult to dodge if the morty thinks a bit even when you know that the morty will use mudwall. However a good shaggy will be broken cuz the character is broken in general so he isn t block in one playstyle. All that to say, you can t say morty is weak at all, in particular when u can find some online, among the dozens of joker, shaggy, batman, etc... I even find more mortys than tom and jerry ! Whereas tom and jerry should be stronger. He has more options, at least one option, way better than some entire other characters that you never see online because they are so bad. Morty u find it online. The debate was about if morty was weak. I ve given you lots of proff that Compared to other bottom characters in this game, he is FAR from being weak. He has one thing to do, he does it so well that he is strong. Limited, like the brain usage needed, but really strong. Though the limits makes him not broken he stays a character super boring and annpying to fight, not a character u ll tell yourself "easy win !" Unless you play the top characters of the game, which isn t my case. Have a nice day

But that one good option is enough to make him minimun mid tier/high tier. That option is not as easy to dodge as a side kick shaggy spam or other spam as he can release it when he wants, at the distance he wants. By how spammable it is and how good it is, it is enough to male him not weak and even a bit braindead. Even veriflied said that in his last video !! Ofc morty is not in the broken half of the cast (he is not like joket, superman or others) But he is not in the bad and not played characters either. In fact i often meet mortys online, which is a proof of that peoplre plays it, not like garnet, velma, rein dog etc... That s my vision. Have a nice day
