We decided to go on a road trip to see our friend, the CrossFit Games Champion Jason Khalipa. In so doing, we did a tour of his Beach Side 3-car garage gym, did a killer workout, went stand-up paddleboarding, and ate some great food.
Jason has a fully-featured home gym (one of a couple) that features equipment from REP Fitness, Rogue Fitness, Concept 2, and RX Smart Gear. The biggest and best feature of Jason's gym though is the amount of open space that's available to train in.

he’s in the next county over from where they are in this video; i drove next to blaha in riverside county one day coming home from work. Had a little compact car with a 5% nutrition sticker on it, i looked over waiting to see the piana looking meat head guy, and i shit you not, it was blaha singing along to whatever it had playing in the car. Paced him on the freeway for a bit just dying laughing

Been following Jason since probably 2010 and the guy has always been a complete class act, family man, incredibly hard worker, and just a general fun dude. Awesome to see his transition after Crossfit into a great businessman and continues to train consistently!

Ya, I have both companies gear. I purchased this gear for my in laws house a while ago. Since then I have Rogue and REP gear at my house in NorCal. This was a good example of the gear I started with when we were outfitting a gym to use during COVID.

Guys, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Are racks with build in cable systems and a smith machine worth it? Or is the cable/smith machine low quality?

Just get a good rack. Simpler the better. You get more value for money

@@supernoodles908 I already have a solid power rack, the thing is I am looking to train with cables and since I am low on space I can’t purchase a cable thingy. So replacing my current rack with a so called ‘functional smith machine’ seems to be my only option.

These are RX Smart gear and are blown up, Dave (the owner) had brought them by shortly before we started filming. I use the smaller ones for my kids to jump on

@@shabblabbat I have, but that doesn't change the fact that he couldn't make it this far without PED. In short, he is simply a steroid junkie. Well, you praise him for his work ethic , but you probably know that steroids provide recovery, but also strength, endurance and the desire to train/work ethic. Without PED, he might just be a couch-hanging champion.
