For a team that only had 4 months to coagulate in final form (2 starters acquired in february 2024), the Mavs have performed beyond most people's expectations, even their own fans. Congratulations Celtics!🎉 "He who defeats all his opponents is a very strong man, but he who defeats himself is invincible." Celtics beat all opponents in 2024, Mavs outdid themselves. It is worth looking at the bright side of the situation. "Comparison with others is the recipe for mediocrity, comparison with oneself is the sign of excellence."

This team desperately needs an on court strategist

Fire this dude!! i watched game 1 and game 3 and i was rooting for the mavs to win,i live in eastern europe, so to watch a game you have to stay up all night and i was so dissapointed, mavs were trash offensivelly no plays at all, even no pick and rolls only iso on luka and kyrie… you cant win a chip on pure raw talent of 2 dudes, it requires more planning, jason kidd should know better

I love Luka but people who think that bigger things are ahead for this team are simply delusional. This is not a real championship roster, they had a great run, but without major, major changes, they will never be close to the finals again. I'd look at potentially trading anyone and everyone besides Lively.

Sack Kidd. He has no place on the bench as the head coach. He got carried 2 times by Luka and did nothing at all to deserve another chance. But yeah, as mediocre as Mavs as a franchise are they will sign him for the rest of his life and probably beyond. That's why Spence went to the Lakers and not to Dallas. In LA Kidd would be fired right now, just because of the way the team played in the finals. No one would be like they are in Dallas, "great job, the future is bright, no one expected us to be here". They'd be like " what the hell was that? Didn't you come to play in the finals? Why are you playing the same god damn defense when it's not working? Is there any reason you bench THJ for the whole PO just to give him 20min in game 3?" That's the heat he should be taking whit the way he coaches this team. But yeah, since Mavs are happy with Dirk getting one ring, this finals run must feel like a dream. Nico do the right thing and sack this sorry excuse of a coach. And if Kay has a problem with that, he can go with him. The way he played in the finals, we have Hardy to do that for a fraction of his price. What a sad, sad end to what seemed like a great season.
