So, you have to understand that the video is telling two stories, there is the story of the song which JMC wrote, of the little girl who was being abuse and was not rescued in time. Then there is the story of the video in which a school teacher is playing the song for his classes and as a result of him doing this, several students came forward and reported their abusive situations. So we have the story of Alyssa and the story of the video, which switches back and forth between Alyssa's story and the story of the class. The girl at the end is representing the students who were affected by Alyssa's story and came forward. Both stories are based on true stories. Although Alyssa's story was not something directly associated with JMC, he says he has a really rough time writing the song and that it did affect him mentally to the point that he would get migraines trying to write something so emotionally charged. What we should all take from this is, if you suspect or learn of child abuse, you MUST do something. Those children suffering from abuse, whether it be physical or mental, NEED OUR HELP. Do not assume that someone else will do something or that the child themselves will be able to. IT IS OUR BUSINESS, no child should live a life of abuse. You don't have to do it yourself, talk to people in authority or call an abuse hotline and get someone involved.

not everyone gets the girl leaving the classroom as being currently abused. Good read. She was removed from her situation. i knew she was for a couple of reasons. First I had a friend at 13 who was being hit by her dad. Only 4 of us knew. She trusted no one. Second, long sleeve black shirt in NCarolina was being used to cover up bruises. It was looked over in Indiana due to cold weather 8 months of year. We put a net of support over her. She actually saved me also from taking an Easton aluminum bat to show her dad what a baseball feels like being hit 420 feet which I could do. I did send him anonymous note saying i had no problem going back to prison if the tradeoff was his daughter being safe and he became worm meat. It actually minimized the abuse until they kicked her out.

I am so sorry to here about your past struggles. No one deserves that. I'm glad to see you seemingly rising above that situation and are doing well. I loved your reaction to this. You are becoming one of my favorite channels. Please react to How do you get that lonely by Blaine Larson.

You will also like the video that youtube was about to play afterwards. It‘s „Concrete Angel“ from Martina McBride. Also a very touching country song. Would like to see you reacting to it. Best wishes from Germany!

Jason Michael Carroll was from youngsville North Carolina. This is a true story. Alyssa was his daughter's real life friend. He stated that it took him several months to write the song. He stated it was so difficult to write yet, to find a words, big gave him migraine headaches

My father was orphaned at the age of 10, I'm sorry that you had struggles as a child, I cried when you explained how you felt neglected. 😞 But think of one thing as he said to my brother and I. If it weren't for what we've been through, we wouldn't be filled with as much love, respect, and understanding for each other. I will definitely watch more of your content. This is your first video I've seen so if you have already forgive me but, if I may, would you please react to Pentatonix singing Bohemian Rhapsody. And PLEASE wear 🎧 you'll understand why LOL

the teenager is a different person altogether and is neither the daughter nor Alyssa truth is I think the teenage girl is supposed to look like an older Alyssa that even though Alyssa died from her abuse, someone who's like her got the help they needed and out of their horrible home life, I think it's supposed to be symbolic

This happened to he and his daughter. IIt took him 2 years before he could write about it through this song. I am so sorry for your experience. No one, special children. should have to suffer in silence. Thank you for sharing so candidly with us. Our pain becomes our purpose

I dont think the high school girl is the friend. I think she reacts that way because she herself is being abused and hiding it. If you pay attention she is the only one in the class wearing a long sleeved shirt/turtleneck. I think she is suppose to represent the girl removed from the situation.

I'm sorry that you had to go through those experiences as a child growing up. Another good song of Jason Michael Carroll is Tears. Two more songs you might want to react to is The Call by Matt Kennon and How Do You Get That Lonely by Blaine Larsen.

Please react to Matt Kenny "The Call"!! It's one that will touch you! Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so sorry you had to experience that! No child should ever have to experience that! I don't know how you rose above that but, I am so proud of you and extremely happy that you did! That's why it burns me up when I hear people say, "You grow up to be how you're raised!" Because , it's NOT TRUE! People make a conscious decision to be who they are! They know right from wrong! You, Mr Coleman are the PRIME EXAMPLE! May God Bless you and keep you safe!
