He is exactly underrated drummer

The kind of care and attention Rullo has in his playing is incredible. Sometimes as a drummer, i dont care about how skilled a player is, but how genuine the playing is. When i listen to SX albums, i hear a man giving his all to each verse section, bridge, chorus and solo section. When i play V or Divine Wings on my headset, i listen to the drums and it puts a smile on my face with the patterns and fills he chooses for each musical moment. What a superb drummer.

OMG, I could watch him playing for hours!! He's just flying above the set with an incredible easiness and playing tight as hell! Perfect stick control! So creative! For me Jason is the incarnation of good and interesting drumming! Now I watch it again :D

Really really underrated drummer

Jason RULLO isn't only a strong technician ; he's a great composer with Symphony X. Iconoclast album is the top level in drumming with Sx. Fills always excellent. I can hear Dave WECKL influence and feeling in his drumming. Jason is definitely in my drummers hall of fame. So sad about his health and so happy to see him soon when he will come back on the next Sx European tour..

One of my main influences. Technicque is a mere Tool. You're an artist. In the same way I wouldn't like RUSH with no Peart on it, Deep Purple with no Ian Paice or DT with no Portnoy, symphony X is Heartless without you. I hope you're better and next time Symphony X will be in Argentina you'll be drumming! ps: to anyone who does not know his work, try to transcribe "V" from Symphony X...
