I met the JET when I was homeless in Dallas in 2010-2011. He was serving food at the Dallas Life foundation and we chopped it up about the season, me going to high school with Deron Williams, and just life in general. In the end I told him I hoped they would win it all and that was during the regular season and JET went on to score 27 in the final game over that stacked Miami Superteam

what i remember most about the john lucas game was carlos boozer decided to paint his head. not counting dunk contests, the best in game dunk was vince carter at the olympics flying over 7'2" frederic weis. they literally dubbed it the "dunk of death." while celebrating carter almost clocked garnett in the face.

LMAO what a great attitude. I am literally laughing out loud at him telling that story. JT was also a great 6th man and would’ve been even more valuable in today’s league with his shooting. He was a big reason why the Mavs took out the Spurs in the greatest 7 game series in NBA history in 2006 and why they won it all in 2011. For him to be so humble and not butt hurt about that dunk shows who he really is, though. Anybody can have fun winning big games but it takes someone with great character to laugh at himself like that after accomplishing so much in the game.
