I have a brother and will happily admit the elbow pass was the single best trick pass in NBA history to that point. But J Williams had to be honored to have his name mentioned among the GOAT "showtime" passers Magic, Maravich, Isaiah, even Bird with the innovative no look redirect that was precursor to the elbow pass or thru the wickets bouncers that Parrish would stuff. (Before Dr J was 6'7" slam dunking on 7 footers from standing in the paint, guys would stuff it in the basket) We see guys today routinely make tremendous showtime passes like it was nothing but it was all done before by guys like Magic experimenting with bounce placement and English off the wood like English off the glass among other tricks

Hey Mr Sanchez, if you want to see good passing then take a look at John Stockton. He's the NBA all-time leader in assists and by a VERY large margin. Flashy?.. nope. Unbelievably efficient and consistent?.. God yes! The best passer of all time. Unfortunately for Stockton and Malone they peaked at the same time MJ, Pippin and the Worm did too. And btw he's ALSO the NBA all-time leader in steals... ALSO by a very large margin So 2 of the 5 stats that basketball players are judged by belong to one average, skinny, unassuming guy that could probably star as Ward Cleaver on _Leave it to Beaver._ 😂

Really.... A real underrated player. Sometimes there were some off passed into stands or other team players. But overall. Underated by far. Just didn't have a great roster behind his plays. They geled a few runs together. But Shaq and the "Queens" reference, plus Kobe era kept them a few games away from ultimate elite greatness. Still well underated. The first and one white chocolate before the Professor. "Pretty sure he was his inspiration!"
