Jason and Kara, prayers are coming your way! Are ya'll eating? You both look like you've lost weight. Stress does horrible things to your body. Being a parent is stressful. When your baby is hurting and going through hell, ya'll go through 10x worse, mentally. I've worked in Surgery and ER for over 30 years, and my son is about your age. I have to remind him constantly, "Please remember to take care of yourself first. Otherwise, you're no good for yourself or your family! You 2 are amazing parents and excellent teachers. We respect and value your opinions and advice on Canes. We own a 3 y/o Cane, named Ace. He is our world since we are empty nesters. We adopted him from animal control 2 years ago. We were definitely not prepared for this breed. We went in looking for a couple pound lap dog, and we definitely got a lap dog, just 110# more than we bargained for! We were his 3rd attempt for a forever home. He had pretty bad food aggression, not a fan of women or children,(he loves and tolerates me, but definitely prefers his Daddy)and he views cats as snacks. The 2nd adopting family, the owner was pregnant, and treated Ace horribly. Unfortunately, we didn't find you soon enough. He has some "learned bad behavior", but manageable. He absolutely requires more training. More than we are able to teach. Both of us work and are away from home 12 to 15 hours a day, which we know isn't fair to him, but if we were to take him back, they would euthanize him due to being "unable to adopt for aggression". Neither of us can live with that fate. We committed to "3rd times a charm!" We love him too much. The plan is to find a trainer who deals with Canes mainly or "large aggressive dog" trainer. We are in love with him and are prepared to devote whatever is required of us. Thank you for teaching us how to care for him and who we need to search for! We greatly appreciate you guys!!!

I'm praying for Bruce Wayne. I had to put my Presa Canerio down at aged 4 due to cancer. Chemo was sooooo expensive, thank God for pet insurance also. I could fully train my presa cause he was ball driven. Now I have a chihuahua, omg his extremely hard to train. I'm more scared of what my chihuahua will do over my last dog presa canerio 😂

Dogs getting sick is never easy, it hurts in ways you would never imagine. Back around 2014, my then Labrador had kidney failure and that was extremely hard to deal with. Then around December 2021, my then 14-year-old American Bulldog got sick for the firs time in his entire life and that also was hard to deal with. Wishing Bruce a speedy recovery.

Pet insurance is extremely important especially for large breed dogs. Our GSD years ago had surgery , I don’t know how we could’ve covered the cost without insurance. Blessings to you and hoping you have Bruce home tomorrow feeling like a new man ❤

Praying he gets better and back to normal, not sure I agree with raw food diet and my Vet truly hates them. Because bacteria can grow even on the best foods and if it is not killed in their digestive track. Dogs can get really sick. This is from a very reputable vet school in California.
