The boss of the Sands Between, here is How to Beat PAGURUS the RAVENOUS in Another Crab's Treasure. This reminds me of the tree sentinel in Elden Ring, you shouldn't fight it right away. Rather there is a skill you can get before this boss to make things a lot easier. This boss may take a few attempts because it's a tax hit really hard and yours will do little damage to it, but it can be defeated pretty early on or you can also do it later. These tips should help!

I killed him on complete accident, while running away from him he did that one attack where he leaps over you and fell into the void, killing him instantly 😂

@@JasonDunnaYeah! It was just like killing the boss, map piece and all. Only thing was I had also died with him, if that happens the respawn losing menu will be kinda buggy for a few minutes

Another thing to note; I don't remember exactly where in the game it is said, but Pagurus is allergic to bananas. If he eats your shell while you have the banana shell equipped, I believe it does around 3/4 of his health.

Amazing! I said in the video that they talk about it having a weakness but I didn’t figure it out. Good to know! It’s not the hardest fight in the world so you can go at it either way

@@JasonDunna In the Flotsam Vale area, there is a glass bong with a dude stuck inside of it. If you use the Mantis Punch adaptation, you can break the glass bong to get him out and he is the one that tells you about the Banana allergy for Pagurus. I literally just fought him 2-3 minutes ago and he ate my banana shield and it had to have taken a good 80% or so of his health. The whole fight took maybe 20 seconds lol.

Thanks I killed him using the banana I made him eat it then I used lil red cup and gave him a charged attack

You can also bait Pagurus into a Bobbit Worm trap somewhere in that area that can insta kill him if he gets caught

Me trying to beat him with 1/4 of this much HP/shell resistance and getting my ass beat 😂Definitely going to come back to him later or just use the banana shell cheese

The banana helps a ton, I got a video on that but basically the red attack will be the one he grabs it. I fought him in this save file after finishing the other areas that’s why I had more health haha

@@JasonDunna I ended up beating him legit, found that the skill to do a critical hit when enemies get stunned is broken and does a good chunk of his HP. Then just played it safe. Once I learned his pattern it was a lot easier. Now I’m just past the scuttling sludge steamroller which I killed in about 20 seconds with a combo of level 3 tactical tentacle, and dispatch 😂

Its a ez fight if u go to the right by thr second set of rocks. Behind the rocks there is a little strip of area and if u walk there he despaws. so i just get him to spawn and despwan sodge some attacks and hit him, he doesnt regen the dmg and eventually his jump attack jumped him into the void. Im level 12.

I was stubborn and beat him before going to the grove but I had no idea you could parry the first 3 swings of his 5 hit combo!! I always rolled the first two and parried the 3rd and 5th. Excited to fight him again on my next playthrough

I encountered him on purpose since I wanted to see what everyone was afraid of. As soon as I saw him I got scared shitless and started running away but he killed me. Then I got pissed and rememebered he was a boss and took 30 minutes on trying to kill him. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the map piece you get from killing the "big bad crab" was already obtained

Just run past him and to the left ish area, there’s a boss there that will give you the mantis punch that I use in this video and it will make it easier. You can beat him without getting that if you want but it’s a challenging boss. He isn’t required to be beat until later

Was struggling hard beating him on a lvl 0 playthrough, and didn't want to pull the gun out. Found this video, read the comments. Was gonna do the banana peel idea, stick one on the fork, and one on my back, but I did not need to do so. I made him fall into the void, was easier than I thought. I had beaten Topoda, god was he a pain in the ass, but my video only shows the last phase =/ gonna have to do him again but beating bosses I used the gun on previously while I am at lvl 0 feels pretty god damn good. I keep all microplastics for stowaways/shells, and upgrade items, but I am not leveling. Uploaded the video on my channel if anyone needs to see how to bait him, and where I did it. Appreciate the help!

Ive beaten all the bosses fair but i had to break out the gun with this one. Felt bad but that runback was so annoying

Yeah the run back sucks. I suggest starting from the expired grove as it’s a quicker run back

I beat him at level 12 with no shell! You can dodge roll as he is trying to frighten and it will not fill the frighten meter up leaving him open for some pot shots. Also, his attacks are very large and coreographed, so it should be easy to pick up on. His slam attack is what you want to see the most, as it leaves him vulnurerable for a significant time. (For all of those who take this boss on early like I, Godspeed. He has 3 one hit KOs if you have low base health. Also, he is very hungry.)

@@superspyke1 that’s a great comparison! I thought of this boss as Radahn since it’s gone crazy eating other crabs and it’s in a big open area in the Sand Between
