I visited and traveled to China for a month in Fall 2017. I was shocked to see a modernized China and even more advanced than the USA. Fast bullet trains, pleasant subway stations, including clean toilet rooms, colossal train stations with efficient service, excellent transportation infrastructures, well-supplied food supermarkets, casual dresses, excellent shopping malls, artistic light shows on skyscrapers, and beautiful walkways in some cities in China. People treated me well. This was my second visit to China. My first visit to China was in the winter of 1989, and it was awful - poor sanitation, backward technologies, corrupted police, long lines to buy a train ticket, limited food markets, gouged prices to rip off foreigners, and heavy surveillance on foreigners. It was a huge contrast to today's modernized China. We recognize the USA is a dying empire due to multiculturalism, rampant crime, long-term economic deterioration (outsourcing), growing governmental corruption (spending on wars), morality and religion decline, and a lack of budget to rebuild the infrastructure, such as nationwide bullet trains and modernized subway stations. History shows that American civilization passed its peak after the first men landed on the moon in July 1969, and the USA had gone through a long deterioration since the withdrawal of the Vietnam War. The average lifespan of the civilization is 250 years from the rise and fall. Today China is the world superpower, and the USA is the second-rated superpower. Unfortunately, America will not catch up to China. Even Biden's America is much worse and devastated because Biden's policy destroyed energy independence and promoted a bogus green energy initiative. It ignites inflation and squeezes the economy and jobs.

I miss Line 2 and 静安寺 Station so much because I was working in Shanghai from 2012-2017 and daily commuted from 静安寺 to 人民广场. When my contract ends, I remember Shanghai only having 14 lines, and it was really a surprise to me when you said it had 19 lines now in just a short six-year span. I still remember that time I only spent RMB 6 using Line 2 direct to Pudong International Airport, traveling around 75 minutes, or another RMB 50 option using the Maglev Train, reaching the airport in 7 minutes. By the way, if I remember correctly Hongqiao Airport also can be reach with Line 2 because I seldom flew with that airport.

China has certainly proved what it is capable of. A government doing such work for its people is truly amazing. The quality of life is way above that of other countries. The US is no longer the world leadership. Such things are a dream in India where the governments have been keen on their political agendas. All in the hands of a few wealthy people. Bureaucracy is corrupt to its core. Common man has been left to suffer its fate. May God give our leaders enough honesty to work for their people.

Yes, he said that roughly 30 years ago, and this video proves it all. Unfortunately, in 2023, there are still so many out there who believe that this sort of "Democracy" shxt idea will bring progress to a country. The West and even the UN Office of High Commissioners for Human Rights are still trying to accuse China, especially Xinjiang of human rights violations. Each of the accusations in the report concludes with basically zero evidence and preface with full of uncertainty. I’ve visited China several times. Even the poorest household there can easily afford all the appliances and amenities of a modern home and the living standards of an average wage earner is very comfortable. Chinese people too in general are also very educated, disciplined, polite and civil. What the USA says about China and what reality truly is, is 2 very different worlds. China is progressing and showing the way to the future while the USA is regressing rapidly back to anarchy and the Stone Age. 😢😢😢😢

The US possesses modern technology and abundant resources and might continue to improve and progress, partucularly in enhancing the quality of life for its citizens but it misused these. Why does the US feel the need to intervene in other countries' affairs and how does it persuade its people that intervention meets the benefit of Americans? The US need to undergo change.

@@gxi9931 Well for one the USA wants to retain its status quo as the most wealthiest, modern, developed and progressive nation on Earth. But that was a few decades ago and no longer true anymore. In fact America can no longer maintain that honor of being in that level of dominance in almost every field and is losing it fast to China. No one wants to be relegated and lose its present status to a competitor. The USA will try by all means to impede the growth spurt of China by hook or by crook. Americans by intention are made myopic by its own government and truly clueless of the reality outside its own matrix. They are literally like the sleeping hare that the turtle finally beat to the finish line. America has grown fat, lazy and inept due to their decades of spoils while China worked hard to attain where it is right now. The writing is on the wall and is very inevitable. Geo-political conditions worldwide is fast evolving. A unipolar world is best suited for a vampire like existence for the militaristic USA where it sucks off blood from other nations to survive. China on the other hand being foremost a mercantile nation prefers a multi-polar world where prosperity abounds and equally shared. Wealthy nations trading with China as the foremost global manufacturing hub is best suited for China.

China here with the citizens providing the much needed transportation - subway and stations - like a very well-to-do parent giving the young children very nice things. Thanks to high tech of the 21st century, and existing/historical data. Looks great and pleasant to use - the new China subways. In America, cars is a much bigger problem than run down old subways or homelessness.

Actually such metro stations design is pretty common in Asia, they just linked to the malls, and if you are transiting to another metro line, it’s just a few walks away. And certain stations would have a specific design or theme, and the aesthetic would be based on that theme too. Upgrading and maintenance work is necessary since the metro is a common transportation tool for many people.

When it comes to economic development, population and transportation infrastructure are inextricably linked. In terms of economic development alone China, which is ahead of the curve on both of these, has a clear advantage. Will China collapse like Japan did in the past? Will it beat the US to become the number one economic power? It will be interesting to see who wins this fight.
