After soaking gel off with acetone, cuticle oil doesn't even touch the dryness... I have to go straight in with vaseline😂

Thank you for such good advice!! I damaged the craaap out of my nails with gel and I didn't know why - now I do!! Also didn't know heat made acetone work better - that's an awesome tip!!

Heat excites molecules in general, so take that and apply it to everything :)

Now I a know how to get them off! I went to a salon and had no idea that's what she was using on my nails. Now my vacation is over and I can't get them off and I have to have them off for work since I work with food! My boss is aware I just can't get them off but now I can tomorrow night when I have time to do so. My nails need trimmed really bad anyway so now I really want the polish off so I can trim my nails lol. Thank you!

Thank you for making this video. I am not comfortable working with gel, it scares me a little knowing that I can very easily damage my nails. My mom and grandmother are allergic to gel polish so I am worried that I would be to, since we are very similar. I however love the look of gel, its beautiful!!

I tried those silicone fingertips for soak off: i don’t recommend. Combined with cotton they sit too tight, cutting off bloodflow to stay in place, which turns my fingers cold, not helpful in the proces at all. I’ll stick to foil instead👍🏼

Great video! Thanks! But I have a question. I want to remove my gel nails at home but I think I'm going to run into a problem immediately. Some years ago, my nail salon switched to a new system where the color layer is made of something special that after it's light treated, it's hard as a rock and never, ever, EVER chips or get damaged in any way. I'm pretty sure it's impervious to acetone too. Have no idea what it's called and I don't want my salon to know I'm DONE, so I can't call them. Any chance you know what I'm talking about and do you have any removal advice? Thanks very much! ❤️

for some reason, nail polish nvr sticks to my nails... it starts flaking in a day. I've used every tip and trick during application, used expensive polishes, it nvr stays on. Someone told me i have oily nails but i've nvr heard that b4. It's just so annoying.

I had the same problem. every single time, some things I did to make it stay was use a dehydrator on my nails 5 coats, primer on my nails 5 coats, and then do very thin layers of gel while curing for about 2 minutes each coat. also if your nails are long enough, I put the polish under my free edge which made my last gel polish mani last 3 months

I never realized how difficult it is to remove gel yourself - I just got back from the pharmacy and I've been at this all day... I used non acetone I think this is the problem .... I am now filing them down I have soaked them, its still not easily coming off I think Im destroying my nails between filing them soaking them in acetone and scraping this stuff off.... ugh
