Hi, I have tried example for protected modifier for constructor, tried to access outside package inside subclass but its not allowing. Conclusion given at the end of this video for protected constructor differs .

Did you try creating object or accessing a constructor with super() ? It worked for me for object creation . And for a child class in other package you need to explicitly define a constructor for it. What error it gives to you ?
