Nice strategy I set mine up defender style to one way, trip mines high on wall behind, and nuke the rest Makes it so my turrets don't waist ammo on nuked targets Oh, and the explosive penetration rounds for stragglers and everything else

My friend likes to run and gun while I set up a little sentry nest as a safe zone

My friends a driller we do a bunker tactics he drills a safe room and i block it with my platform gun and place sentrys in the safe roomand we wait out swarms when the swarm is done i place 2 lures in the bunker and we drill out from the side and as soon as we see the hoarde he uses a c4 and i clean up with the breach cutter

Especially when you can platform then the scout can just grapple straight to it.

And my favorite part about them is that the upgrades are mostly homebrew. With nails+tape the Engie basically turns the pgl's explosive into a scrap bomb. The breach cutter was originally meant to be used for mining, Engie turned it into a weapon of mass destruction. The Shard defractor _had_ limits put on it by R&D, Engie loosened a screw and put an aluminum ball between the battery and the capacitor to circumvent those limits. The boy is a dwarvish craftsman at work.

@@Saltier Don't forget that engi stole shredder drones from rival company and with R&D (I think) help reprogrammed them.

Shard diffractor is probably ky favorite weapon in the game, overclock booster is such a blast to shred any bosses

I always take quick setup. It's what makes turrets viable for me in the first place. I love how aggressive Engi can be and it let's me use turrets as extra dps whenever I need it.

For MK2, I go with Quick Deploy, Expanded Ammo Capacity, and Hawkeye; ideal for missions where you have to move around more than defend, and attack targets such as Dreadnoughts. As for Gemini, I go with Expanded Ammo Bags, Stun, and Defender; makes sense for missions where defending an objective is more important, and you'll have enough time to set up your turrets before a swarm arrives.

@@TheTraveler980 I always take defender. The limited fov is actually an upside and damage is more useful than range. It let's me focus the Turret fire on specific areas, giving me more control and more utility. No more wasting time and ammo on bugs that aren't an issue yet.

Wrong actually. Overall, damage per round, the MK2 does more total damage. Gemini does less total damage, but higher DPS when they're both active. It's a question of whether you want a slow burn, or want to use your turrets for burst damage

@@thecatpersonuk9962 Fatboy is fun. I would lead the shot ahead of the glyphid horde to make sure they spend extra time in the radiation field. Couple it with a LURE grenade and you can keep them inside for longer.

I see the engie as a burst damage area denial class

I think the turrets are kinda like an extra teammate that does the boring stuff for me. They get to support me while I kill bugs with a shotgun and a death laser.

I don't use it personally because it's a pain in the ass, temporarily disabling my turrets, using up their ammo, reducing the damage they can deal because I have to use the Hawkeye System instead of the Defender System in order to be able to choose what I want to hit with the Turret Whip, requires me to have my turrets set up to get any use out of it, and when my turret ammo runs out my shotgun now has a useless upgrade on it. As for full auto, it's helpful when you're shooting literally anything other than a grunt or something with the health of a grunt. It allows you to just vomit bullets more efficiently into the ass of a Praetorian, Oppressor, or other meaty target.

@@dreamwalking You don't actually have to use Hawkeye to make good use of Turret whip. If I did what you do, I'm pretty shure I'd use full auto too. If you go for gemini and defender system, you can set them up to cover an angle and just spam Turret whip to erase swarms. They're good at taking out single grunts, so if there's not enough bugs for it to be economical, then you should be doing objective anyways. It's also a godsend against macteras. Yes, you can use the shotgun too and it does well at killing them, but turrets allow you to stay behind cover. The smaller turning angle of the turrets with defender sounds like a downside, but it allows you to direct the fire of your turrets before you're busy killing bugs.

They actually are in the board game. The secondaries are primaries and primaries are secondaries

I use explosive chemical rounds on Lok-1 for the area damage and overdrive booster on the laser for that sweet single target damage.

Perks should revolve around your play style. Experiment with them and see which you like best. The perks you unlock doesn’t mean you can’t unlock or equip other perks. So no need to worry about being stuck with a perk you end up not liking.

My number one quality of life perk is always Thorns. And Born Ready, but that one's really only good when it's fully upgraded, so I would probably hold off a bit on that one. Dash is extremely popular because of just how versatile it is. It's also nice if you're running down a long tunnel to be able to do so a bit faster. But you'll be alright doing what most of us did and just picking what seems good in the moment. After playing for a while you'll have them all unlocked and can switch between them at will. Just don't forget to equip your perks at the Weapon Terminal.
