Genshin Impact, but we use Catalysts ONLY. AKA, Spells Only.
This is inspired by my own Swords Only playthrough we currently have running on the channel. That account is at a point where we just need to farm domains to further build characters, so with plenty of catalyst-wielding characters on the horizon, it's time to begin this journey as well.
This time around we take our new Sucrose and attempt to make her into a usable character. The goal was to make her elemental skill hit for 10k, her burst for 5k, level her talents up, and ascend her at least 3 more times. In addition, I wanted to farm some Viridescent artifacts for her, and then it was off to the Spiral Abyss.
What I wasn't expecting was to get a 5 star from the standard banner this episode...

You should consider switching Sucrose’s and Heizou’s weapons. Sac Fragments gives more EM which is good for Sucrose while Mappa gives more Attack which is good for Heizou Edit: AlmightyNoob in the comments made a great point saying that Heizou should use the widsith because he does better nuke damage while Klee does more consistent damage!!!

Commenting so the above comment gets bumped. Mappa Mare is a really good F2P weapon for Heizou, the EM, higher attack and DMG bonus benefits him much more, and Sucrose gets the skill cooldown reset which allows for more swirls and can battery your other members.

I agree! I would put frags on my sucrose if I had them that is, I mean I have frags on my alt but not on my main which is sad looking at the fact that my alt and main have an AR different of 30 with my alt being AR 25 and my main AR 55 and on top I have C0 on my main but C1 on my alt, I mean I could make my alt my new main but it's a lot of work and a tom of progres lost so im probably not gonna do that but who knows maybe I will

JAVA if you're building em sucrose you have to count the swirl dmg on top of the skill damage because the initial hit is anemo dmg which doesnt scale off of em. If you have more dmg focused aartifacts the initial anemo dmg will be better

Exactly, so the big green numbers are the anemo damage, which will not do a lot when building full em. However, all the other little colored numbers (aka the swirl damage) can do a ton of damage when built right.

@@TheW1nd yes exactly, but it's also for the same reason venti is recommended to be run on triple EM over an Atk and Crit build. Swirl build does more damage overall.

I was just about to point it out as well! My Sucrose only goes about 3k anemo dmg on her skill but her swirl does at least 7k with only one element infused

4:57 the game doesn't know what you want but it knows which talent book you used to teleport to it and pre-selects it for you. Also, it remembers which talent book you farmed last time and that stays selected if you teleport to the domain without using talent book's button. Also regarding the smaller exp books, if you hold the "+" button, it will start adding them by tens. It doesn't take that long to get them used. With Prototype Amber, any catalyst character can be a healer. Good for Abyss in your situation. Thrilling Tales on Barbara is pointless in 4-player co-op since you can't leave field.

If you click on the domain button on the books (the one that sends you to the map) and you teleport to the domain it just puts you one the book you clicked on because they assume thats the one you wanted

With Sucrose, she tends to do more in swirl damage than actual damage unless you're like me, who built her as an anemo dmg DPS and gets about 22k per E skill with non swirl because elemental reactions are for nerds

5:04 the domain automatically puts you on whichever talent book you farmed last, since the last time you farmed the Mondstadt domain was for Barbara, freedom was the last domain you were in so it saved it when you left

Bro you can't expect to see big anemo dmg numbers with SUCROSE. But if you see overall dmg by her, she is getting around 10k. Also, you need to build her for crit if you're hoping for those numbers by her which really isn't a good idea.

8:48 There's even an achievement to have 4 different infused orbs flying above it at the same time and it's quite tricky to pull off even without limit on characters, but co-op should help.

At 21:12 actually the elemental resonance doesn't work if you don't have a full 4 character party so the anemo resonance isn't doing much

Btw it might be smart to wait with artifact farming until 3.0 update as vv and other sets will be added to strongbox, so you can farm more resin efficient domains because maidens is kind of a waste. If you do farm keep all the bad 5 star artifacts for strongbox in 3.0, I wish you good luck with getting good Sucrose pieces!! Also really enjoy your videos :))

Prototype actually will be VERY helpful if you don't get Kokomi, because you could build any of your characters as a healer for the second half.

That's what I use mine for, Healer Mona and Healer Ningguang, depending on who I need at the time. My other account uses Koko with the Amber and kills .. . Makes me want a second one for a catalyst Healer, and let kokomi keep one for the HP passive and the energy return form bursting

Yep, I prefer Ning for that role since she has a very spamable burst (40 cost/low CD). Her damage ceiling also isn't great without constellations. On my catalyst account she is holding prototype and 4pc noblesse. Skill, burst, skill (c2) and swap. 4pc petra would work as well but isn't worth farming for imo.

I'd recommend not stressing too much on getting 5 star EM VV pieces, I was farming the VV domain for a few days for my Kazuha and got exactly 0 5 star EM VV pieces, so I just put a 4 star EM VV circlet, a 5 star off piece EM goblet, and a 5 star ER VV sands on him. Having less EM but being able to spam the burst can also be pretty nice.

You only need to stack em on her not anemo dmg that is way more unoptimal to do mine has 940em with a r5 sac frag and she is c6 and she does a lot of dmg and buff

As a old sucrose main even tho my artifacts sucked my damage never really broke 3k I was low ar and had bad stuff (same weapon) I am sure if you try to make her make do the best damage you eventually will!

Do not expect to score high anemo damage with EM builds. Focus on higher swirl damage and resistance shred from vv.

when you build Sucrose with EM you can't focus on the anemo bonus you'll have to look at the swirl damage she does with the other elements. you don't increase anemo damage with em.

If u count the swirl dmg (which is a big part of em sucrose) u technically reached ur goal and in some point even beyond that xD I was dying so hard when u didn't consider swirl especially after building vv set and em on her xD. I was like *"BRAH THE SWIRRLL"*

Hakushin ring is pretty good support weapon when running electro teams. So you might want to save a billet for that if you like. Electro is also getting a new reaction with sumeru so maybe it’ll be updated? Here’s to hoping kusanali is catalyst user because you won’t be able to touch dendro on your ____ Only accounts otherwise lol.
