If the needle rubs against the crab and the position is correct, it would be necessary to check if the needle is correct for that machine. It would be necessary to check that the crab is correctly adjusted in its housing. With the correct synchronization of needle and crab there should be no friction. It is also important to check the height of the needle.

Amazing video but It seems for me even with things loosened the crab does not rotate freely. Its very stiff. I Uploaded 2 of my own videos just now. I bought machine used but it looks new. Really hoping to get it working any tips would be appreciated!

You have to remove the bottom cover and see the cause. If the movement transmission is by belt, it may be broken or loose. If it has gears, it may have its adjustment screw loose.
