They got cut from their 1st record label so they made THIS video for $400 and filmed it in Kevin (beatboxer) and Avi’s (beats and bass) closet and won their FIRST Grammy for it and the rest is history! No instruments-just voices… incredibly talented and 10 years later, they’re still blowing people away with their talent…even better now!! Check out their newer stuff!!

Kitchen. The audio was recorded in a closet, though with professional equipment.

They recorded everything in their own home. If you also notice that Mitch is a lot thinner now than he was when he was younger is because he had cancer. I'm not sure when it was but it was when Avi was still with them. I do know he is now cancer free.

I really enjoy watching peoples reaction to PTX. The best part is how they love how talented this group is. Not one negative thing about them. PTX is the best out there and I believe that without them, a capella wouldn't be so popular. They really paved the way for other a capella groups. Great reaction.

You can see a private performance, off mic, here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qt1kjKakrb6vl30.html This was recorded with someone's smartphone, but the room was quiet so the quallity is good. They do suffer somewhat from the lack of microphones - Kevin's beatboxing and body percussion in particular need microphones in order to have full impact - but this performance makes it abundantly clear that they made sure they could perform it live.
