Bro, we should not stay in same rpm for longer time on new bike, it will affect the engine. And riding bike in higher gears at lesser speed will actually consume more fuel then it should be, It will also put extra strain on new engine.

33 kmpl is good milage considering its ARAI figure of 37.5 kmpl, Dev. I am happy with its efficiency figure given by you. Congrats once again for owning Jawa 42.

my jawa 42 which has done 660kms has given me milage of around 37 kmpl with speeds ranging from 60 to 90kmph

it's a very decent mileage for a bike before first service as tuning of the bike will be on more richer fuel air mixture. How much is it after service ? 2. Is single channel ABS good enough or Dual channel is required ? 3. How much is maintenance cost especially it has liquid cool engine and high CC with more power. Is it comparable to RE 4. Does this bike have adequate ground clearance as i can see silencers are too low ? 5. Can this bike be taken for long rides like 500 above, any heating or other issue ? Listen put petrol for 500 rs. Go for a long ride. Calculate mileage. Then after 1st service go for again long ride. Calculate mileage. 350cc usually gives 40 kmpl on highways.

How is the performance in monsoon? Have you seen water filling in fuel tank? Have you used switch and fuel cover during monsoon?

According to you one should buy it or not? 33kmpl is a really good milage without any service.

Mileage and performance is satisfactory but I'm not quite happy with my Jawa's front disk brake and single channel abs system. It doesn't seem to work and front disk gives heavy jerks when applied. What about your bike?

My jawa is giving mileage of 25-30 in mumbai city traffic after first service. Before first service, I was getting 17-20. I think that's ok for now as mumbai has very heavy traffic. Not tested it on highways but I guess it would definitely reach to 35-40 on highways.

Bhai 1st servicing ke baad 37 tak jaega..bike bahut badhia hai..3rd servicing ke baad almost 47 to 50..yadi aap 50 to 70 ke speed me chalate hain to....aap sahi tarike se chalarahe hain... driving bahut badhia hay...

Hi Do you find any difference in the engine smoothness of the demo bike and the bike you are owning now.? Post my test ride n Jawa 42 I could hear annoying noise emanating from the engine. Perhaps the ECU mapping was not perfect or perhaps the BS VI engine is inconsistent with the current fuel. Awaiting your valuable comments pl Seen your message. Pl let me know whether the Jawa 42 engine is smooth without abnormal detonation rough sounds . Your feedback will enable me for making purchase decision. Fuel injected bikes if not perfected behave abnormally having higher RPM'S during idling . As an avid motorcyclist I can discern such phenomenon and reason can be attributed to electronic chip of lower bits taking more time to normalise. Have witnessed this abnormalities in Apache 180 , BMW 310R & Jawa 42 besides earlier versions of Santro 2003 models.
