I still like the demo version better because of the non-chorus-chorus in it, it rips your heart out a little more. The studio version is a better speed, and I guess technically does sound better. I’d love to hear a revamped demo version, but if I’ve learned anything about loving this man’s work, it’s that you should steer clear of footage from live performances or demo tapes. Sure, you’ll find some of the most beautiful songs in the world, but you’ll spend the next 20 years searching for super secret demos, or for clues on if they were ever recorded at all? I promise you, after many fruitless efforts of trying to hunt down good quality versions of -after hour perfection (JTB -late 98 version) -black art (ToL/forgetters) -Gemini, and for esme (late Jawbreaker) ...it’s just not worth the heartbreak!
