Of coz every Zimbabwean remembers this game. The Most infamous game in Zim soccer history . Not only was this Zim biggest lose at home but most infamous was the fact that veteran radio commentator Charles Mabika was fired by Zbc for being ‘unpatriotic’ on his radio commentary. Today we see the video. True that Zim players were roasted😂

Mabika was in the commentary, shouting, "The fans' placards read "Okocha agochwa" but well, well, well, what is actually happening here in the stadium is, "Okocha ogocha".

I used to think so. But now I am convinced that he was assigned to keep Okocha under check. It wasn't an easy assignment but he really did well. Much respect to Okocha...weldone Esrom Nyandoro you are a true warrior.

Okocha was well taken care of . Despite being sublime. Nengomasha was solid as well as esrom nyandoro. With zvenyika makonese Top defender paired with dumisani mpofu. Kaitano tembo was getting slower . But Dickson choto was super defender . Choto did well against Egypt in the afcon the time for mido.hozam hazem. Scary efficient Egyptians That land produces defensive midfielders in excess

JJ Okocha is a very skillful and talented footballer player but please can we watch this with unbiased mind. Okocha can also be so annoying with his unnecessary ball juggling and dribbling skills. Some would call those 'beautiful nonsense'. Check out how many times he would dribble and lose possession of the ball when a pass to his mates would have unlocked the defence better. It is annoying watching him sometimes embarking on silly dribbles, I am sure it can be frustrating to his team mates sometimes. The most annoying part of his football was his wayward shootings. JJ would have shot down and silenced many of his critics if he his shootings were good. He mesmerised in the midfield against the likes or Roy Keane and Scholes but his shootings and final ball were awful...Bolton would have shocked Man United. His shots most times end up flying over the the goal post bar like a plane taking off. He would have single handedly defeated the Danes in France 98. He dribbled, confused the Danish full backs but his shootings were bad. He dazzled in the midfield against England in the friendly after US 94 but his shootings were bad or maybe he was unlucky. Nigeria would have won that match if Okocha upped his game just a tiny bit. I dont think he was as serious and as motivated as Ronaldinho who possess similar skills.

Exactly...he was skillful but not efficient that's why he never won any major individual award. Ronaldinho was skillful and efficient.

Okocha is bigger than CAF award which was raided by strikers and francophone players!!

3:20 Okocha was good but his crazy shots at goal were pretty bad. El Hadji Diouf and Titi Camara were way ahead in skills and shooting. Okocha was just flair nothing more...Nigeria ran their mid through Garba Lawal.

@apolo kabali You watched his videos but I watched live most of these players you guys talk about nearly their entire careers and still remember what the general sentiments were then than now that people are just speculating. Jay Jay Okocha played an attacking midfielder and was one of the best in his own position. He could rip apart the entire midfield of any team, big or small, club or country and create chances and did actually score some of the most beautiful goals you can think of and sometimes did save drowning teams both at club and national matches. He wasn't just showboating. He had skills in excess that he didn't have to think about the move to make and get pass a defender with ease, hence it was sometimes being seen as mere showboating but the players would go behind to practice his moves and do them when they succeeded. Anything he did was for a purpose and not as empty as people just talk about. The only thing close to showboating is that he believed that football should be a sort of enjoyment and not taken too seriously. I believe this is the mindset that cost him his deserved records. He had the potentials but wasn't recorded as having won this or that .

He doesn't do anything productive or positive for his team in this game. He's like the kid at school who knows he better than everyone else, fucks about for the entire game, and usually ends up on the losing team. He's got great skills, but he using them in incredibly frivolous and wasteful ways.

But the team won 3:0.. What else do you want to see. He prevented his opponents from getting the ball. In a VAR era, he would be untouchable.. And that foul in the penalty box will be a straight Penalty kick in the present era , also a red card offence for the Opponent player.. Stop the Hate.. He is the Nigeria best ever!!

@@amooolusina6978 They were playing Zimbabwe... 3-0 is the least they should expect to win by. I really rate Jay Jay Okocha. He was a fantastic player. I'm just criticising this video. He gives the ball away over and over again. This is an extremely poor example of his talents

@@roberthonour671 you pathetic hater what do you mean there were playing Zimbabwe, Zim was the best team in Southern Africa and despite their woes probably still is so what the hack are you blubbering about Okocha was just Exceptional back then Zim had seen some fine players who could be counted amoungst Africas best the likes of Benjani Mwaruwari who played for Man City a fine play who could score goals and who had pace but was with his ball distribution as well but Okocha in terms of skills is right there amoung your Peles and your Ronaldinhos just slightly behind them i would say.
