myself to myself For information found on the World Health Organisation site www.who.int/dg/speeches/detail/who-director-general-s-opening-remarks-at-the-media-briefing-on-covid-19---3-march-2020 COVID-19 causes more severe disease than seasonal influenza. "While many people globally have built up immunity to seasonal flu strains, COVID-19 is a new virus to which no one has immunity. That means more people are susceptible to infection, and some will suffer severe disease. Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected.... ....we have vaccines and therapeutics for seasonal flu, but at the moment there is no vaccine and no specific treatment for COVID-19. However, clinical trials of therapeutics are now being done, and more than 20 vaccines are in development." For US government information on Corona virus see: www.coronavirus.gov/ I really hope you find this helpful. May the Lord be with you and your loved ones and keep you all safe. Amen.

One of my favorite movies growing up before "The Crow." What actually surprises me is that they're driving a Chrysler Laser. My favorite teacher at GHS in high school was Mrs. Rice's Earth Science Class. She drove the ruby red "Laser" with the added turbo computer chip. At the time, I drove a mint 1979 Pontiac trans am my senior year. Plus, she was the President of the local NRA, avid lover of horses on her ranch, and every Friday she would put aside the lesson plan, pop in the pre-recorded VHS series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (fast forwarding commercials). Also, making popcorn for everyone and indulge in sales of chocolates treats as a whole class. We would always rev up our engines in the parking lot to show off and admire each other passion for cars. But, before I knew her as this complex woman, not only as a teacher. In the first moment of my introduction, she'd order me to the office for suspended for vulgar language because, she mistook someone else profanity in my conversation. So, I had disliked her from that very start. Truthful, at the time I never cussed as I thought it to be lazy when trying to exercise my vernacular. After my graduation, summer of 2001 (pre-9/11) she passed away of a brain aneurysm. I will never forget driving this car, she would let me park the vehicle or move it to better parking spot and the amazing woman that inspired me to reintroduce myself to people when a bad impression was made in a small significant moment. You really never know who people really are and rarely ever get a second chance at correcting mistakes. Look at the individuals in this video for instance. There's a lot you can say, and there's a lot you don't know. But, never underestimate the value of second chances. 😢 "That's all I have to say, about that.."

The Laser was not used in the movie, those were Daytona Turbo Z's - same car but a little more dressed up with ground effects and a wrap-around rear spoiler. These cars are grossly underrated and much better than they are often given credit. I still have an 86 Turbo Z very similar to the red and black one used in the movie. It's a blast to drive, fast, hangs curves like it's on rails, and still gets good gas mileage even running twice the stock boost level. The movie is a cult favorite for us folks into 80's turbo Mopars. Was really cool to see Charlie driving the Chrysler M4S Turbo Interceptor.

If you freeze frame the movie when that red/black Daytona was racing, you'll see it has the C/S badges on the fender - so it was the top of the line Turbo Z for '86. It was certainly a feature length advertisement for Chrysler Corp. - what, with all the Turbo Dodges, the Plymouth Caravelle / Dodge 600 cop cars, Skank and Gutterboy's 66 'Cuda, and the sneak peek of the '87 Daytona in Packard's shop etc. etc.

@SideHustleShift
@SideHustleShift 4 жыл бұрын
@@mikecooley3361 in '86 the C/S did not actually stand for Carroll Shelby. It stood for Competition Series; Shelby tuned suspension and handling but not a "Shelby" car. The rare Daytona you speak of was the 1992 IROC R/T Daytona with the 224 HP Turbo III engine (same 16v Lotus head engine used in the Spirit R/T). Less than 300 were made, 50% of them being red, and 25% each in white and black.
