Jay Park started out as the leader of Kpop group 2PM about 13 years ago so he was actually a singer before he was a rapper, his biggest album is an R&B album and he's releasing an R&B album this year, he is owner of the 2 biggest Khiphop/KR&B labels in Korea AOMG & H1ghr Music and he just started his third label More Vision, this is the first release from the label health just had a very successful launch of his own brand of Soju called Won Soju which is manufactured by his company Won Spirits, he's been doing more hiphop for the past few years but this year he's giving Jwalkerz some R&B Jay

Jay Park is the dude who got me into Korean music. He's a crazy talented singer, dancer, rapper, and is funny as hell. He is from Seattle and originally moved to SK to be trained as an idol. He debuted as the front man of JYP's 2nd gen boy group 2PM, but then some throwaway myspace comments he made as a 14 year old about Korean culture went viral and lead to him being cancelled so he left JYP and came back to the US. He went back to SK later to form two of the biggest hip hop labels in Korea and was signed to Roc Nation (Jay-Z's label) for his English music. He became super popular on Korean tv and this is his first song under his third label. I highly recommend you react to Jay Park's killing verse as it lets you hear him as a rapper and a singer. I have never really checked out Jay Park directly, but I can tell you he is a pretty big name. Until recently he was Co-CEO of two different music companies, which he was the founder for both. AOMG (Which is Lee Hi's company) and Highr. And now he has another label, More Vision. Without looking, I'm 95% he has a killing verse video. I found it funny that literally the day before you guys would be recording your reaction to this, you posted a reaction to another IU video and commented that she didn't appear in it given that is the entire plotline to this MV. Given that it wasn't the first time you have talked about feature artists not appearing in an MV, I figured you would get a kick out of the MV. I'm guessing the idea for the MV came from the real-life situation where they knew the time they would have to film with her would be very limited and they just decided to lean into it. I would think most of the songs she does with rappers would either be more R&B songs like this or ballad raps (where she can still sing the chorus).
