I reckon he was pushed! Why was he even out there in the first place? He had been up all night so was prob knackered & wanted his bed not an 11+ hour hike over dangerous craggy terrain that he didnt know & wasnt used to in blistering heat with no phone, map ,or water. Nobody would be so stupid when the alternative was to stay where he was ,wait for the cafe to open so he could get help with charging his phone or use theirs to get help He could have waited there for 2 hours for the bus & been home & in bed before 4 hours. - a lot quicker & easier than that 11 hour treck so I'm not having any of it at all. Also his 'good friend' Lucy pffft. If I got a call of a good mate telling me they were stranded in those circumstances Jay was in with no phone or way of getting back then as a mate & good friend I would either send them a taxi or go myself to pick them up & make sure they were safe & got home safely. You wouldn't just leave them go to bed & then wait hours or a day to report him missing would you? You'd be on pins & awake til they got back at the very least. She is NO friend of his & knows what really happened. I feel sorry that Jays young life ended like this & hope others learn their lessons from it all. Dont get mixed up with drugs & dodgy people. Esp abroad! ( after all they all had plenty of drug money knocking about!)

This was no misadventure, nobody would walk up mountains that would take weeks to reach your destination. No food no drinks no battery on the phone, the lad was trying to get away from something sinister, or he was already gone.

He would’ve been really dehydrated due to drinking alcohol and in that heat even worse off. Then apparently hurt his leg on a cactus this would’ve worsened him but also could tell us how dehydration was affecting him. On the call to his friend Brad he said he went off trail and could hear rocks fall beneath him as well he was probably really disoriented and my guess is that he either fell in due to being really disoriented or at night when you’ve got no chance at seeing in his case. Not everything’s a true crime documentary and shit does just happen

@@Dafferz007 because they lived in the street I bought a house on and they used to drive their car from practically opposite my house and sit in it smoking their own weed they sold to the dealers on the streets I used to have to close my windows as it was just pouring through them... I would get up for work and I would find one of them sat on my doorstep having his morning joint......i befriended them only with being OK about it nad saying hi as it made me feel a little safer in doing so... They would always ask when closing my curtains if I would like them to move in their car I used to say "it is OK" they lived opposite me but 1 to the left.... They had a huge extension as there was about 6 brothers their wives the mother the father and all their kids from the brothers and wives....

Lovely kind comments. Believe it or not the comments made by people on twitter today have been really unkind about Jay, vile tbh. Jay was just a young lad, his past was behind him and his future ahead. His poor mother and father are distraught and people can't even seem to find it within themselves to consider their suffering and not want to add to it. They are shameful and I think the ones that are the nastiest probably have the most skeletons in their closets.

It's all OK saying let the parents grieve get that but why all the strange facts that Lucy knew the men he went with but said nothing his 1% phone that managed to make video calls and take a call from Lucy and then why he go to an airbnb when was nx to his own apartment just to be there for 2 hrs oh and then take a pic of his feet truly sad but I'd want answers if was my son not oh he just fell cause no way
