Im nowhere near as rich as Jay. But i got a lil paper. Im living good and got some money coming in. I have to tell family and friends "no" all the time. My older cousin asked to borrow $10,000 for this property to invest in. I asked him "when is the last time you had 10k in your hands". He told me "man that aint shit, i had 10k a few months ago" an then I asked him "what did you do with it" maaaaaaan that boy all of sudden had a stuttering problem. They cant do right with their own money, fuck you think they will do with your money? Going to trick it off and try to use blood as a way out of paying. Im good. I was born at night, not last night

This isn’t just in celebrity rich ppl life. This shit goes on in middle class life as well. Family just always feels so entitled. Once ppl in your family know u got more money than them on a usual consistent basis, you’re always going to be considered as the ace in their pocket whenever they need money. They expect u to be a bank whenever they need financial assistance.

The fact is that if you give someone money; especially someone who’s not used to money, they’re not going to invest it; they’re not going to utilize it properly; they’re going to spend it flippantly, and eventually - without fail - they will come back and ask you for more. Come with a business plan, a PROPER business play, come with your own capital already, come with the seeds of success already sewn and THEN say “hey man, I’m RIGHT HERE, I just need a push”. Then sure, we can talk business. But just lending you business on the strength of family? That ain’t it, fam. Why should a man give a way a million dollars to someone just because he’s a billionaire? That’s insane. Come with a plan. Show that you have your shit together.

Only Jay Z really knows his family well enough to know if it's worth him investing in any of them. Maybe the cousin has a drug habit or alcoholic and it's difficult to trust the guy will not use that money for drugs etc. If I had that wealth and a genuine family member or friend who had a good business idea and it was a dream of theirs, I'd certainly help. But you have people who don't want to help themselves regardless.

I understand both sides . If you have a wealthy family member and you don’t get to see then except once every few years around the holidays and you’re broke , of course you gonna pitch ideas . Unless you wanna remain broke . But someone who’s that successful , when they come around family , they just wanna kick it for a few and see you next time 🤷🏾‍♂️

He can give the white man millions of dollars for a watch or a painting. But can’t throw his cousin a couple bands to get on his feet. I’d feel a way too. I guess this answers the question “$500,000 or dinner with Jay-Z” take the money. Jay-Z only does good deeds for publicity and he only helps people who are already rich and he definitely doesn’t want to see anyone do better than himself

Fam if I am worth 2.5 BILLION!! (Let's not front his liquid is DEEP!) And a family member had a well thought-out business plan to jumpstart and I mean they did the research and etc then yes I will help them and even guide them in that process to help them succeed when I can and if not I will also put them onto my own financial advisor too! And shoot creating a family fund is also a good idea, but at the end of the day the older folk in my family will be well taken care of. The young folk just need guidance to learn to work and push for greatness. Also let's be real we all do know you can give a max of 15k to family members per year as a gift and can write it off your taxes..... *shrugs* lol

@@deevasquez1171 agreed, but I also don’t think there is a problem with helping a sibling, (CLOSE) relative especially ones you know you can trust. If I had etc close relative that had a pretty successful restaurant why not support them alil extra. Rihanna did it with her family member in Barbados and her cousin has a very successful business down there. And I wouldn’t be surprised if she put her own friends on her own team too, which Riri still hangs out with them on trips left and right.

Regardless of how much you have, you cant just give money away to anyone. If I have 100million, there are individuals in my family who I won’t give 20 bucks too because I know they will go and buy a cheap bottle. And I’m the bad guy lmaoo😂

Just because that said person is Jay Z family member, doesn’t mean they’re entitled to his money. He had to work for everything he has so it’s really his decision if he wants to give it out. Also it depends on the family member as well. They obviously know he’s rich and will take advantage of that. So if he gave the cousin the money then cool and if not that’s cool to because it’s HIS MONEY he doesn’t owe anybody anything.

This clip like many was taken out of context. This interview was done a on time ago on Kevin Hearts show. That wasn't an actual situation number nothing. However people don't have money therefore they don't understand money. So this is a prime example just let fools talk. You shouldn't argue with fools you will be a fool with them.
