I don't really write about singles but this is a special occasion. I believe this is Jay-Z at his finest. He pours more emotions into 4 minutes than a Phyllis Hyman album does. You can literally see it as he spits it. Reality flashes before our own eyes as we remember exactly where he's at. This is what happens when Hip-hop touches your soul. Marvin Gaye would be smiling if he could hear this.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of September 11 2001. His album dropped the same day and I heard this song on the saddest day. The day NYC was crying. Came outside somebody was playing it in their car. Everyone was in the daze. Just numb. 😔 It's still my favorite Jay-Z song. 💯
