Hello there: I went to check that website outwater.com but seems to be a little complicate for to buy some stuff from there, because you said those door slides guides were only $8 but I don’t know how to place an order. Or do you have to be a member to be able to buy from them?

Just click on the part number, that will bring you to a page to add quantity. Click add then click checkout. website is extremely slow and needs a refresh if it stops responding I'm finding.

The door that doesn't want to close just disable one of the soft-close hinge switches and it should close on it's own. I'm surprised it's like that with a full MDF door, you might also want to make sure it's not out of alignment.

Jay, I build ATA flight cases for a living, I saw this because I want to build cabinets for the Mrs. Its was very informative and has given the inside on how to build a nice box.. I think you did an excellent Job, definitely better than any box store box.. Good Job. People complain because they are not busy and usually have a chip on their shoulder. We call them Masters of the Universe complex. Again good job and the editing was very good as well. Thks for your channel. hats off to your assistant too!

So many times, when I’m watching your videos, I feel like an idiot. I see you do something and realize that is such an easier way to do it than the way I have in the past! For example, putting the drawer slides on a workbench in order to easily attach the slides to the drawers! Oh well, live and learn! Great video, as always.

Beautifully done and great efficiency of work! The only thing I would avoid is the MDF drawers. I recently dismantled an old Ikea desk made from veneer particle board and it was amazing how easily you could knock the the fasteners apart with a moderate hammer blow. No holding power at all! Of course this is an office cabinet with less likelihood of spills that can also degrade MDF. Not a hater at all and love your vids especially minimal narration with emphasis on work flow. Thanks, Keith

I love the "slow" shots and different angles of the cabinet. Really helps you get an understanding for the build. Why did you decide to go with MDF for the drawers this time? I remember you knocking failed MDF drawers in one of your OLD videos.

Really good video and great article. I am building a new kitchen and did the same thing as you, looked at how the commercial units were built then designed mine according to my wife's wish list. I used paint grade maple plywood for the boxes and brown (heartwood) maple for the face frames....not too expensive, easy enough to work with and durable. We have the same problem here as you, 4 big dogs, mud and dust!

Nice video and build! You should cross reference this with John Heisz's recent videos discussing what it takes to make a full kitchen. You're making two base cabinets, which you describe as "budget" level and people should look at all of the steps, two of you working, tools, jigs, etc. BTW, I too don't get the thumbs down folks. The video has links to your web pages for more details and, as noted by others, if you have reasonable skills/experience, the video shows all you need to know to make a version yourself.

Very nice result. The only thing that makes me smile a little, with all due respect, is how many (all) of the american makers use Euro-style hinges on traditional face frame constructions =) It is not the best use of their features. But that's just a minor detail, that also boils down to personal design/style preference.

Crazy, i have a set of custom pearl drums made out of bubinga wood.. supposedly it has a certain density where it resonates better than many other woods.... thought it was like an exotic wood though.. didnt know anybody made much stuff out of it.. set was pretty cheap though, second hand..

Great video. I’ll be mounting some drawers to some slides in a few minutes and enjoyed watching you do it.

If I had all these fun awesome tools, I'd loose my mind, and likely have a mile long honey do list:). Great video
