I've had the Cross Grips for over a year now and love them but I understand what you mean about the handles being a little thin and difficult to grip with sweaty palms. That was my only drawback about them. I found this Stretch and Seal silicone tape that I got from Home Depot that fuses to itself that I wrapped around the handles and it not only makes the handles thicker but it also rubberizes them so gripping them is no longer an issue.

thanks for the review. I ordered and received these and the right handle on mine isn't at 90 degrees like the left handle is. Have you experienced the same? There are a lot of reviews on Amazon experiencing the same thing unfortunately.

Really? That’s odd! I didn’t have that problem with mine. I ordered mine about a year and a half ago from Amazon, and there were no issues with the set that I received. I’ll have to look into that and maybe make another video letting others know about that problem!

Can you tell me the width between the red handles? in the website it says up to 7.5 but other reviewers say otherwise

My Crossgrips extend to 7.25 inches. if you have a door frame that is greater than 7 inches deep you might not be able to attach them to your door frame. The door frame I use is 6.5 inches deep, and they fit with no problem.

The top of my door frame is very narrow, only 1/2 inch deep. Would that be sufficient to hold the pull up bar? I am concerned that it might dislodge and fall when exercising. Thanks for responding.

The Cross grips can work on door frames with depths of 4.5 inches to 7.5 inches. So sadly no, these wouldn't work on your 1/2 inch door frame.

Good question! I'm not entirely sure because it would depend on the thickness of the beam. If it's too thin the tension on the Crossgrips won't hold and if it's too thick you probably won't be able to get them on. It also depends on if you have space between the ceiling and the beam because the top of the Crossgrips (the red part) needs to rest on something so it won't slide off.
