Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.

Home Free doen't take itself seriously. They have fun yet are professional. They love their fans and the fans know it. That creates strong loyalty. The four singers - Tim Foust (short gray streaked hair), Austin Brown (long red hair) and Rob Lundquist (full beard and glasses) and Adam Chance aka Chance(with the hat) all sing lead according to the song. Adam Rupp is beatboxer extraordinaire. He can sound like drums, harmonica (nomonica), castanets, birds, many different sound effects and sings tenor as backup in the 5 part harmony songs such as Helplessy Hoping.

I love their rendition of Tom Cochrane's original - and when Adam's & Austin's hair is loose! The singing, & harmonies are perfect and Adam has again outdone himself on percussion. You had the same first reaction that I had. I thought there had to be a drum. But no, it was Adam Rupp who is an insanely gifted beatboxer. Even professional drummers think his drum sounds are authentic sounding. There is even a video of Adam's drum solo. The guys were just recently in the UK as the last part of their European tour. Their last European tour was cut short due to Covid before they got to perform in the UK. They had to hurry back to the US before the borders were shut down in quarantine. You immediately caught the vibe of these guys. They are down-to-earth fun loving guys who like to hang out with each other and enjoy what they do. They are all extremely talented and can sing any genre. They also don't take themselves too seriously. They created videos even during COVID-19 while scattered throughout the US. One of the videos that they made during this time went viral. It was their Sea Shanty Medley. It became a huge hit on TikTok, especially in Asia with people using it in dance challenges. Because of the success of their Sea Shanty Medley, Ubisoft commissioned them to create a sea shanty for their new game Skull and Bones. Adam Chance, the guy with the cap, wrote an original sea shanty called Skull and Bones. Home Free has an extensive catalog of videos. You never know what to expect which is part of the fun. This is my favourite A Capella group. Yes, everything in this video is created using their voices. If you go down the Home Free rabbit hole, then you have yourself another subscriber, haha. Just as important is their live performances and their banter with the audience - they are truly a delight. They even have me revisiting Bass singing again after years of illness & vocal degradation. For the the record, no Bass is better than Tim. No Vocal Percussionist is better than Adam. No voice is smoother than Chance’s. And nobody has a better Tenor duo than Austin & Rob.

I'm really glad to see another great reactor kick in and include Home Free. I certainly hope you keep going through their HUGE rabbit hole. I also just checked to see if you had reacted to Dan Vasc. If you'll check out his music, there's ANOTHER huge rabbit hole you can go down. Most people, these days, start with "Metal Singer Performs Amazing Grace," but take your pick...just like you will be doing with Home Free. A lot of us would REALLY love to hear Home Free and Dan Vasc do something together. Since Dan lives in Brazil, that would take some doing, but then he does music with people all over the world through digital connections. To really appreciate how the group is NOW, you should go back to at least nine years ago, and watch what has happened over the years. The baritone singer back then, was Chris Rupp (Adam Rupp the beatboxer's younger brother). In 2016, Chris took off on his own, and Adam Chance (usually known as just Chance, when with the group, due to Adam Rupp's first name), stepped into the baritone slot. There are SO many videos that are just superb. Enjoy!

This is from Home Free's latest album, released to mark 10 years since they won a TV competition for a capella groups called the SingOff. That victory saw the beginning of the band's mass popularity. Most of the tracks are new arrangements of the songs they sang on TV, plus a few bonus tracks. But you might find it interesting to check out their previous album So Long Dixie, almost all of which is original and written by band members (and long term collaborators). There are some truly remarkable songs with brilliant MVs - check out Save the World and the Stargazer Trilogy.

Hi there bro. Welcome to the land of being a homefry. That is what fans of Home Free call ourselves. The band was actually started by the beatboxer and his name is Adam Rupp and his brother Chris. They recruited the big fella with the beard and the glasses and his name is Rob Landquist who has an amazing voice as well then they found the bass, the guy with the really deep voice and his name is Tim Foust. Then they got the guy with the red hair who was doing gigs on cruise ships and his name is Austin Brown. Chris then left the band and was replaced by Adam Chance, the shorter guy with the dark beard and he does few different noises with his mouth as well. You said that you were looking for others that were good. My personal favourites is called. My Church, but if you want a chuckle, they do some fantastic ones like Meghan Trainor’s all about the bass and they do another one called “ the Butts medley” which is brilliant. Oh those guys are so good and funny. I'm laughing my ass off, especially at their faces. What fun they would have had during those recordings. I've seen it a few times and each time I see something new. But my attention still remained on the singing and that inhumanly good beatboxing. You could say I was laughing while swinging. Because it sounded amazing again. It has become much better than the performance of the Sing Off. But what I like so much is that even if you don't see the video, what you hear is still great. With many groups the song is nice and good when you watch the video, but without a video it is a lot less and I had enough after listening to it once. I don't have that at all with Home Free. They are top, but not over the top

💛 This group is just over 20 years old. They've had a few membership changes over the years. I think, though, that they've all been on friendly terms, so no one has left due to arguments. The beatboxer is the only original member of the group.
