It actually shouldnt be (in the sense in which its being used) Hes talking about opinion. Opinion is a powerful and lucrative business that employs thousands and needs to be competitive. Whats true is that media can refrain to tell the truth but not actually lie.(Defamation Act) Therefore, it is the medias job to not pervert stats while being able choose which stats to show to convince. It is then the consumers job to read between the lines and digest whats being shown

As an American, I like reading about UK politics. They are a clusterfuck just like in my country, but because I usually don't have to deal with the fallout, its much more entertaining. The only problem is for a while I thought the Conservative Party, the Tories, and UKIP were the same party for a while.

Adam Sherman Nah, I live in Germany, where we have a lot of parties (Christian Democrats, Bavarian Christian Democrats, Social Democrats, Greens, The Left Party, Liberals, Eurosceptics), but it's still not too hard to follow it all, it's actually quite interesting. And the Germans actually have a fair and democratic voting system!

Although I'm not necessarily from the UK, I am from a democratic country. I have no idea about the parties that are present in my country, particularly because I've spent most of my life in different countries. Now I'm of eligible age to vote and I'm going to start working in my homeland. Just wanted to say that these are some great videos and is helping me figure out my country's diplomatic parties.

To be fair to IDS, there were 11 years between those two votes. A lot of people's options on same-sex relationships have changed in that time.

Basically, left wing is more equality, right wing is more facism. The most left wing party is labour, who made the NHS the most impressive healthcare service the world has ever seen before somebody else got voted in and started selling bits of it off. The most right wing party is UKIP, who wants Britain to be British even down to how the country was run in the past, which doesn’t really work today. Also, they are a bit racist. So to put it in simple words, if you are a regular dude vote labour, if you are stupid and don’t like people who aren’t you, vote UKIP.

Problem with that is parliment can overule her, she can of course choose to ignore parliment but that would cause it to dissolve and she's need to assemble a new parliment which would take valuable time. Its admittedly an honor system that we hope keeps working, its been doing pretty fine so far though

This is still a bit helpful even in the five-years-on political hellscape of the modern day! Manifestos are a lot more public-focused, though not necessarily *competently* so.
