Gerry Rafferty could have been huge in America but he refused to tour extensively in the US. I don’t know if he ever played any US gigs. Apparently he mistrusted fame and didn’t want to become that famous. It’s a shame because his music and singing was very popular in the seventies. His smooth vocals and good songs are admired and enjoyed by millions of fans including me. I’m glad to see you agree that Gerry Rafferty was great! Never to be forgotten. RIP Gerry Rafferty

I am so glad that younger generations are getting an appreciation for this underrated and often forgotten song smith. As I watched, I heard you say, 'bring the sax back...' and I was like, yeah, just wait a minute! It's coming! :-) I remember this song when I was a kid, loved the music of course but the meaning of the lyrics didn't hit me until MUCH later in life. This song can't be played loud enough for me.

One of the coolest songs ever ! Sometimes I think that in my youth I based everything I did on the premise that if I screwed up it didn't matter because I would "get it right the next time" sometimes there is no next time. So a good song to hear after this is, ITS TOO LATE by Carole King. Women know that when it's too late, it's too late. There's no going back. There's no mulligan for sideways if you get my drift. And that's my final answer!! RIP Gerry Rafferty.
