I first found out about Luis Miguel while watching the movie Speechless in the early 90s and although I didn’t know Spanish I was amazed at his voice. Fast forward to today, I have 10+ albums of his, saw him in concert thrice, and my wife and I will be seeing him every time he comes back to Dallas now that we live here. Luis Miguel is perhaps the last of legendary singers. I mean, the 80's brought a lot of singers but not many or none besides him reached the old style of idol like the singers form the 60's, 70's that still remain as role models in these talent shows so popular today. I think his choice to stop singing pop and going for old style music helped him to achieve that.
