@@tenchraven Pretty much. Freddy wasn't straight or gay. He wasn't homosexual or bisexual. He was omnisexual. He loved everybody. From the fat bottomed girls to the killer queens. From the poor boys from poor families to the princes of the universe. And every time he sang it was a love letter to us all.. "I see you out there. I know you're going through something rough. But no matter what I love you. Even if no one else does, I do." is what came through every note and every performance.

The greatest part of this song, in my opinion, was the glorification of curvier figures at a time when the media was beginning to push a nearly impossible body type. This song came out in 1978, while the average size of women was increasing and the media began to heavily feature dangerously thin waistlines. Queen was WAY ahead of their time in the idea of self-love and self-acceptance.

You should’ve done the live version from Milton Keynes Bowl in 1982! The song was paired with “Bicycle Race”, which is why Freddie says “get on your bikes and ride”. WARNING: Bicycle Race video was filmed using 50 hired models to ride bikes in the nude around Wembley Arena. When the bike rental found out, Queen had to pay for new seats. The band was upset that they didn’t get to see it being filmed. Freddie wrote the song, inspired after see the Tour de France come through. Brian May wrote Fat Bottomed Girls.

American music was exported to Britain. The British bands reinterpreted it and repatriated back to America. There is a symbiotic relationship between American and British music. American music is enriched by it's British cousin's re-imaginings of it both texturally and symphonically.

YES! Queen kills it every time. Freddie’s vocals are always outstanding. PLEASE can you do a reaction (or just listen) to ‘Cool Cat.’ It’s a great song. I’ve not seen anyone react to it before, maybe because it’s not a single. It’s from the album ‘Hot Space.’ Very different and I think it’s fantastic. Hope you enjoy it💜

Bro. Honestly, audio only vids are probably the best ones to react to, because you’re experiencing the music on its own, w/out someone trying to lead you into their interpretation. YOU need to interpret the music on your own. Just like the rest of us when we put the needle to the record. THAT’S how you truly FEEL the music. It’s not even about the message the artist was was trying to send. It’s about the message YOU received. It’s about what YOU feel when you hear the music, unleashing YOUR imagination when you hear what’s being played and said. You connect the music to parts of your own life, lessons you learned, experiences you had that Correlate to the sounds you hear. Maybe you’re interpretation isn’t what the artist meant to convey, but it’s what you felt when you heard it. THAT’S what makes music SO powerful.

His Parents were both Indian . Freddie is still loved and missed , and yes, those of us who were lucky enough to live through the 70'S and 80's know exactly what this song is about and love it !
