I can see how you turned out the way you did. Mom n dad always dancing, never letting the flame of passion for living go out. My parents played music in bar bands but there wasn't much in the way of dancing, and I find myself too serious until I start to groove. I used to go hit the bars, get trashed until the inhibitions dropped, and go burn down the dance floor. Vincent Price had that line in thriller about the having the soul to get down. That's what I'm talking about. Dancing taps into joy.

@ Matt Ekre I just left a comment for him to do Bad Company's version.😁 I looked it up, and he hasn't done a reaction to it, but has done Bad Company's other hits. Unlike you, I immediately recognized the song title as an old rock tune, but I couldn't remember who it was so Googled it. Memories of cruising around in my friends 65 Mustang came rushing back as he was the one who turned me on to Bad Company. 👍✌

I grew up in Ohio listening to The Whispers and dancing to their music in the 70's & 80's at the clubs. After moving to California, imagine my surprise when a co-worker said to me, you know my husband is Nicholas Caldwell of The Whispers? I almost screamed! I bowled with her on a league and he came to watch. It was such an honor to meet one of my music idols, a truly great guy! Sadly, we lost him in 2016. RIP Nicholas

I started (mobile) DJing in 1986, and this came out in 1987, and for at least a decade, I don't think I had a gig where this song wasn't requested. Some wedding receptions would have me play it 2 or 3 times. I'm surprised it's not better known today, because it was a MONSTER in the late 80s and through the 90s.
