Then immediately realized I got super invested in one of my favorite non canon ships (other than maybe Chad and Ryan from HSM I mean). I've shipped them since the episode Andre first had a crush on her, if they'd went on with that storyline who knows what could've happened? Think of the betrayal to Beck? The main reason it didn't happen is Dan Schneider, there's a good video made by Hariyanna Hook where she explains the black characters in Icarly are always negative black stereotypes. She's even made some videos about other black characters in Dan's shows. It's obvious Dan had something against black people or didn't really know how to write them because there was either little good black representation or the black characters that were there, barely had any character arcs or development like their white counterparts. Also considering Dan's creepy obsession with the female actresses in his shows, it would also be a reason why some characters didn't have boyfriends for long or something.

When Andre also feigns interest in Trina, it is obvious by Trina’s reaction that Trina does not have a romantic interest in Andre, because she likes Beck, but she at least considers Andre her friend; not like the way she feels about Robbie. Andre’s relationship with Cat is interesting. He is constantly both confused and fascinated by her behavior. Andre and Tori are two of the best friends in the show. They are each other's confidants, as shown in Jade Gets Crushed.

They should have been endgame, I was just talking about this to my discord group yesterday. I think Jandre could have replicated what Quogan did, get the girl out of the relationship and put her in a healthy one where they actually communicate, show that her jealousy came from the insecurities that relationship gave her and that she can actually be a good girlfriend with the right guy. The most unlikely couple turned out to be the best. Plus, Jandre's chemistry was insane, they could've easily been the best couple on the show. I used to love Bade, but now that I'm an adult I realize they were better off without each other. The episode where Andre falls for Jade is without a doubt my favorite and I like to think he lied when he said he was over her. I like to think some time after the finale, maybe a few years even, they gave it a try and became a couple. That video of them nearly kissing was probably bait, but I'll still take it as proof Jade would reciprocate, since she is the one initiating the kiss.
