Not sure how I missed this video, but I just received my panoptix system and your vid was exactly what I needed. I was searching for panoptix set ups on youtube and then I see that Jay had this vid. You know someone is putting out a ton of content when this type of vid slips by. Love your channel man, keep it up!

best thing to do is to sheepshank those copper power cables. Looping them essentially creates a conductor and could cause interference, even if the ducer isn't run in between them. Great video! Even though Humminbird has come out with their own version now, I'm still just a big fan of Garmin. Been using their products for years for cycling and other outdoor stuff. I'm looking at buying a echomap UHD 75sv and whatever else I need to make that work on the ice, but also so I can put it on my boat for soft water. Livescope will be a future investment when the budget allows.

I'm going to try a Insta360 One X2 for showing multiple angles with the flasher and myself. Mount one of those on the front side of the screen and you've got all your angles you need. Thanks for the ideas, Jay!

Omg that mount is so much faster and more compact then garmins. I'm gonna have to get one. Also if you turn your Brightness down to 30% inside hut you can get 5hrs off an m18 5ah battery.

I just assembled a sv 95 with the Garmin panoptic live scope. but I'm only using the Dakota 12amp battery. While ice fishing this week end after a couple hours the whole system shut down. the battery still said it had 60% charge it was getting colder however only -10c and i don't yet have it in an insulated case. would this be a power issue or a cold issue? any thoughts would help. thx

One concern is that mounting plate on the back of the boat for the transducer using just screws you are going to wear the holes out installing and removing. Granted you could just move it a little left or right to get a new bite of plastic each time. Overall that is a great looking package I really want one!
@zone4garlicfarm
@zone4garlicfarm 3 жыл бұрын
Use bigger screws if the holes wear out. Going from a #6 to a #8 will bite into new plastic.

check out the Garmin 010-12676-40 All-in-One Power Cable, saves a ton of room in the summit shuttle and bag , I bought mine from LOTW sports for $50, its a short power cable for the gls10 and head unit and you can leave the long cable on the boat ready to go for the spring
