there is nothing better then fishing with a bunch of guys, my son and i guided this summer on the long weekend, had a blast with the boat competition , great video that was awesome fishing.

Back in the late 90s I remember Crowduck being known for trophy walleye as well. I heard over time the lake became stunted due to lack of harvest. It's good they finally allowed you to harvest fish on the lake, not sure why the limit is two, no short of eater walleyes and it's a backwoods lake. Great fishery if you want to smack a bunch of walleyes, just no big ones.

Very cool to see such a healthy fishery and the opportunity it offered biologists to experiment and dial in stocking it. The lack of pressure clearly allowed the Walleye to adapt and grow with the support of baitfish. I have fished Big Whiteshell, Meditation, Horseshoe and Crowduck and you can clearly see the difference in the bite even though they are all very close to each other. The access, convenience and popularity definitely separates these lakes.

I've only ever caught a handful of Walleyes living on Vancouver Island, but there's a few trout, Salmon and bass around to keep me content.

Hey Jay do you know any walleye fly-ins in Canada that are headquartered near an international airport??? I grew up driving to Ontario from Illinois, but now I live way down in Arizona and the travel is a beast! Would be great to get direct from Phoenix to the neighborhood the lodge flys out from. You could fly to Winnipeg. Crow duck is only 1.5 hours from winnipeg. There are also a ton of fishing lodges you can fly to out of Winnipeg.
