Colin Cowherd talks Game 4 of the NBA Finals, where the Golden State Warriors overtook the Boston Celtics with the help of 43-points from Steph Curry. While many have debated Jayson Tatum's superstar status, Colin points to his shrinking performance in the NBA Finals as an example that anyone calling him a superstar may have been doing so prematurely. On the other hand, Steph Curry proved his naysayers wrong, putting the Warriors on his back and essentially willing a Game 4 win out of his team. Watch as Colin lays out why Steph has earned his status as one of the greatest in the league.

Same, what’s being said is facts but didn’t Lebron get to the finals his 5th year and lose…proceeding to go on a run that could make him the best ever if not 2nd easy. The man is 24 but because of the early success he’s had they treat him like he’s 28, even draymond said that exact thing on the Tatum interview a few months ago and how he forgets how young Tatum is.

He won 7 rings in 9 years along with 6 MVPs, and 6 consecutive scoring titles. If finals mvps were back dated he would have 5. He is arguably the greatest of all time. If he had not come back to play 1 season in 1956 he would have 7 rings in 7 seasons.

As a long time celts fan from the dreaded rick pitino quick era, very fair assessment I questioned how Tatum would respond when Steph become super Steph and he’s responding like I thought he would start chucking shots and shrink, jaylen is stepping up like I thought he would but this is why I’ve been hesitant for a few years to believe in Tatum as a superstar he’s a bit to inconsistent for my taste but I hope he proves me wrong I really do. If “everybody got a plan until they get punched in the mouth” was a person it would be steph curry plan all you want but he have the defense scrambled as soon as he cross half court.

It's a great take and argument for Steph Curry. I still can't put him on Rushmore. Collin has it right, it's MJ, LBJ, Magic, & Kareem. I think Steph is now making me re-evaluate my top 10 all-time list. He has to be on it and I'm struggling to take someone off it to make room. It's so hard now to just list 10, I think it's these 13 mythic players: 1. MJ 2. Lebron 3. Magic 4. Kareem Abdul Jabar 5. Shaq 6. Duncan 7. Bird 8. Wilt Chamberlain 9. Steph Curry 10. Bill Russell 11. Hakeem Olajuwon 12. Kobe 13. Oscar Robinson

Steph over Hakeem Olajuwon? What are you smoking? Olajuwon was a terror defensively and equally had a great offensive game. Also Duncan moves over Shaq. Duncan based on his accomplishments should be a top 5 of all time. Am not sure why people don't talk much about him. 5 titles, 3 Finals MVP, 2 times MVP, 15 times all NBA team and over 10 times all defensive team. Right now Steph is not top 10 for me. Him not even winning a Finals MVP does not look good for him especially since Andre Iguodala won it over him. Even if he wins one, it took him 6 Finals MVP just to win one?

@cobi2502
@cobi2502 Жыл бұрын
@@Kizamusic It's serious cause you don't see Scottie Pippen winning not even one MVP over Jordan and Pippen is a way better player than Iguodala. Just saying if you the best player on your team, a role player should not be winning MVP over you.

Let’s stop the shrinks conversation. He is 24 years old that lead his team to the nba finals. He is in his first nba finals. Is he playing great? No but you can’t say he is playing bad. Turnovers are a bit more than you like and he took a lot of bad 2 pointers. But this speaks to his experience on a final setting for the first time. His 3p is very good, decent assists and solid defence.

It's fun watching Colin cause he is the epitome of a ''moment story'' writer that don't check his facts. He was saying Steph needed another scorer with him 2 days ago, now ''he doesnt lack confidence and is shinning'''. He said ''Boston is a BAD clutch team'', and asked people to go look at the numbers - what he didnt say was that Boston had the numbers of a bad clutch team BEFORE THE TURN OF THE YEAR, when they weren't bad at the clutch, they were a bonafide BAD TEAM. Since the turn of the year, they curbstomped teams so much there wasn't even clutch moments to begin with, cuz the score was always 15 points away. How Boston won game 1? Being clutch. Being very good on the last quarter. How did they outlasted Milwaukee? Being clutch. I'm willing to bet if Celtics win this finals, Colin will be out there praising them for exactly the same things he is knocking them down.
