Tatum has drastically improved his all around game. Better defense, better playmaking, he's great at collapsing the defense and making sure his teammates get open looks. You look at Luka Doncic and see zero defense. The Mavericks need some really elite defensive players to hide Luka on defense. Sort of what Mavs did in 2011 by getting Tyson Chandler.

Following JTs career ive always thought he was a humble, mature young man with a lot of talent. Early in his career though I thought he was actually too timid and not aggressive enough when he needed to be. Watching him drive to the basket into contact and putting his body on the line is something i've only really seen these last few seasons. I dont wanna say he was soft before but I used to get so upset when he wouldnt use his size when trying to finish around the rim. Now I get LBJ vibes. Lots of uncalled fouls but he plays through them and keeps attacking the rim. Him and JB are such a powerful duo now.
