Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, James Jones and Ric Bucher react to Jayson Tatum's message to his critics, saying quote: "What are they going to say now?" and debate whether he silenced them or not. The crew then reflects on Kyrie Irving's NBA Finals performance and discusses how bad of a look the loss looked on the Dallas Mavericks guard.

💯 kinda upset that Joy isn’t here today cuz she was right there w Shady shading this entire Celtics roster and specifically JT.. Slick I’m truly disappointed man, ur supposed to be more knowledgeable than that.. don’t try to tell me that this man didn’t silence his critics while leading his team in pts rebs n asts in a dominant finals performance just because he wasn’t selected as the finals MVP.. but this is the best part of this duo, they are truly a two headed monster that neither needs to be the “best player” because either one can have the better game on a night to night basis.. and while JB had Luka on defense a lot of the series, we must also take into account that Tatums presence allows Jaylan to get more chances going one on one on offense and almost never having to deal w a teams best defender because Tatum draws that player and is always the main focus of a teams defensive scheme.. the Tatum hate is just ridiculous man, kid is just entering his prime, 3 1st team all pro teams, two finals appearance and won his first ring before Jordan before Lebron before Durant and many MANY other HOF’s, 50 pt game 7 against Giannis’s Bucks at the age of 24-25 and the list goes on

Rebounds and assists have been devalued in a way because players are now stat conscious and legacy conscious. You'd see a great rebounder like AD SNAG 2 or 3 crucial boards for a game-defining possession. He finishes with 12 rebounds and you understand why. Players like Luka and Westbrook can have 14 reb in a game and the viewers could say "Dang....When did they even grab those??" lol. None of the rebounds were crucial and most of them came because their bigs know the star is trying to get the stat so they move out of the way smdh. It's sickening. Doncic can avg 10 reb per game but no one considers him a "great rebounder". I've seen with my own eyes a player like Draymond with great box out and timing be a good rebounder despite the numbers. Don't let the stats fool you! Is all Im saying

What Ric said from 11:17 to about 12:04 is what I’ve been watching television to hear all day. Jayson Tatum being able to guard the Mavs Center is what allowed Brown and the team to play such good defense on Luka. The Lob was a huge part of the Mavs game coming into the finals. Tatum shut that down as much as Brown locked up Luka if you ask me. Mavs had more lobs than all other play off teams combined. I’m not saying he can guard Centers because if it were Denver, they were not gonna put Tatum on Jokic which makes what he did in this series even more special to me. Tatum guard Lively/Gafford meant that someone else was screening for Luka which allowed Al/KP and to a lesser degree Tillman to help defend the rim and paint and double team Luka which also helped to cut off the lobs. Tatum guarding the 5s in this series really was a huge boost for the Celtics defensively.

The Ultimate Goal is Winning. The City of Dallas is TIRED of perrenial playoff exits. We are not minessota or Charlotte that our finals participation is the Championship. The DFW is a Huge Global brand that Needs Rings, Needs Trophies to show that all the work put in wasn't for nothing. You know why The Cowboys have such a loyal fanbase and is the number 1 team in Dallas? The winning culture and 5 superbowls, 5 parades that they brought to the city of Dallas and Chanpionships are Forever. The Stars, Mavs and Rangers all only have 1 in all their history as a franchise and feel like they go to the finals every 20 years. Thats not gonna cut it. To erase years of Poverty, Heartige of lossing, DNA of Dissapointment the Mavs, Stars and Rangers need to star winning RINGS. One every full eclipse is not enough we need to star Winning Championships we need an era of having a dynasty winning 3 -5 Trophies and it needs to happen soon before the local and international Dallas fans lose intrest in Badketball and the Mavericks Brand for being synonymous with lossing and poverty.

5:25 Michael Jordan silenced his critics by the first championship because the majority of the basketball world were already calling Michael Jordan “The GOAT”, and only a small minority were criticizing him for not winning a one championship. Once Michael Jordan won only one world championship, Michael Jordan cemented himself as The GOAT!!! So when he won Championship Number 2 and Championship Number 3 for the first THREE-PEAT, Michael Jordan cemented himself as the GOAT of basketball in this life and in the next 3 lifetimes…..and THEN….Jordan won World Championship Number 4 with the 72-10 greatest basketball team in life history, Championship Number 5, and Championship Number 6 to complete his 2nd Three-Peat….Michael Jordan singlehandedly destroyed and buried a GOAT debate in the sport of basketball, leaving the MLB, NFL, NHL, Olympics, and all other organized sports and professional industries looking for “the Michael Jordan of…..” their particular sports or “the Michael Jordan of…….” their particular industry or profession!!!!!

All the playoffs. Including the finals. Tatum scored 31 points in 2 of the 5 games. He had over 11 assists in 2 of the 5 games. And one game Holiday led in all these things. Brown didn’t lead in any statistical catagory. I’m sorry but he didn’t. You can say he is more clutch if you want to but Boston didn’t need to be couch to beat Dallas. They didn’t.

People don't understand basketball enough to realize that Tatum probably had this series' more difficult defensive assignment. Going up against Luka and the Mavs' style of pick and roll it definitely helps to have a strong perimeter defender. But what's more important is having a very versatile post-defender who can hold his own against centers, and consistently, effectively, switch onto Luka without getting abused. You're either trapping, hedging, or switching. Switching is the safest route, but ONLY if you have the personnel to do it. Tatum was that personnel. His defensive versatility made all the difference in the world. That last game, when Porzingis came in, still hurt. The Celtics gave up an open three on almost every single possession because KP couldn't switch effectively. This has been the story of the Mavs for years. When they play the Warriors they struggle because Draymond can switch. Gobert is just as good at defense, but he can't switch as well, so against the Jazz and the Wolves, that offense exploited him specifically. At the same time, Tatum was the most effective offensive player. He basically was playing PG from the PF spot. And while he didn't shoot as well as he probably should have, he was able to get to the basket at will which constantly broke down the Mavs' defense. They were in rotation and giving up open threes constantly. Celtics have a lot of players who can't really create their own shots but were getting a ton of clean looks this series (Houser, Pritchard, Horford, etc). He really was out there playing like LeBron, and it's crazy that he was robbed of this award.

I’m sorry but being upset that Kyrie tweeted that “it’s bigger than us” is just an unnecessary take. It is literally just a game!! Players should be able to go home after a loss and be able to tweet 20 mins later and say I loss the battle but I won the war. I’m sorry but maybe it’s just the Christian in me but no one should be taking anything so seriously to the point where you’re letting a defeat consume you. Kyrie’s response to the loss is beautiful. It shows that he doesn’t place his worth in a sport! Keep being unbothered Kyrie! And also, both Tatum and Brown are great players and both are needed. This idea that one is better than the other is just a way to divide the two. They are really trying their hardest to turn these two men against each other but the brotherhood between them is beautiful.
