Great review there, Jason. The tripod looks cool. I was waiting to see how the legs lock in place when expanded.

Thank you :) The legs lock and unlock by twisting clockwise and counter clockwise. So you twist to unlock, extend the legs to wherever you want, then twist back and they are now locked in place. So easy it's an incredible design.

Looks cool. It wasn't clear to me, can it extend half way and the legs still be locked?

Yes any length, it locks when you twist.

Good video Jason, I will consider it for the future, I just came back from a trip and I struggle a little with the weight of my gear, will there be like a backpack (or another kind of bag) where we can fit a camera, 2 Lenses, gimbal and the tripod?

Looks absolutely amazing! Better than Ulanzi zero Y. 3 kg max head load, flimsy build - interested in how it fares with normal full frame 1,5+ kg setup.

I was using it with the Nikon ZF and 85mm f/1.8 S Lens which is about 1.1kg or so and it was fine. You could go heavier for sure, but I would not want to go much more than about 3-4kg I would say in the real world everyday use situation. It can certainly hold more weight that that, but the head is not the beefiest set-up for larger systems. The tripod itself is really compact so it makes sense to me and if using under max height with a more heavy dude head I would say you could go heavier like the specs say of max 8KG, but I would not recommend that with this head personally. Awesome review. Can we detach the handle to reduce weight even further?

You can take the handle off, but it acts as part of the tilt lock mechanism for the head, so I can't see taking it off being practical with this tripod.

The Ulanzi Quick Release system is pretty awesome and I never used the peak design, but I always thought it looked to flimsy. I really like the speed at which I can open and close this one in particular.

What connection is on the leg when you take it out as a monopod?

@@Jason_Hermann i was planning to get the Ulanzi f38 videotripod, but I think this one is slightly better, and it is possible to use an f38 base on top anyway. Plus you win a monopod!

Yeah, the Ulanzi is also a very good option, and yes the F38 fits I just checked!
