Not just genres, she can literally sing anything. On a late night talk show, not sure which one, maybe ones of the Jimmys, she sang Tinder profiles and killed it.

Girl. Me too! Same goes for the emotion and humanity and raw realness that came through when she sang (and a father could)….Stay, and the wispy “sorry” she breathed at the end while overwhelmed with emotion and pain! Those two parts along with the “worthless” lyric were like pouring salt over an excruciating wound. It was just one of the most genuine, emotional, sad, hopeful, raw, real, and beautifully painful and healing moment of catharsis I’ve ever seen!

This was a very personal song for her because it was real. In this performance, she was like 8 months pregnant so her hormones were out of control. This performance honestly had tears running down my face when I first saw it.

Trish Gift - Singing while pregnant is hard enough barely being able to take a good breath too! Your capacity to take in air is so much lower, especially with baby pressing on your vital organs lol. Hormones obviously don’t help either. I’ve sang while pregnant too and it is NOT EASY.

Yes, she wrote this song about the contrast between her father and how he treated her.......vs her husband and the kind of father he was to their daughter at the time. She was pregnant with their second child, their son, at this particular performance. I think she still cries every time she sings it. I saw her in concert a few years ago and she sang this and she cried and I sobbed because my ex broke our daughter's heart like that too.

Yes, she was the winner of American Idol that year. She was locked under the contract of the Idol until just recently. She is now able to record independently. She is the REAL DEAL and you cannot take that away from her. She will be listed among the great artist of our times. MUSC MAGIK!!!!

It was hard enough to watch her, w/out tearing up, but add it to watching u as well, I really almost cried. You're a GREAT REACTOR Jay; nothing phony about you! I love your smiles, all the time, playfulness, silliness, etc & I love the emotional side as well, even though it brings my heart to tears. But, it shows that, YOU ARE A REAL MAN! I felt that right in my heart. Her father did not want to know her until she made something of herself. But her step father is still there for her to this day. Any man can be a Dad but it take someone special to be a true father. She also says that she will never do that to her children. Bless her that made me cry. I went thru the foster care system for ALMOST 10 yrs with my family. I was finally adopted in 6th grade at age 11 and my Popo (Dad) was like my best friend. I won't go into everything here but it was a lot emotionally going back & forth to my orphanage every 3 weeks to deal with ppl who could really care nothing for you or didn't show up 1/2 thr time. When she says she felt lile he couldn't get anything from her so she was worthless to him...I was like YUP! It waa found out later my the authorities that my bio mother had a scheme going to traffic me & some of my bio sisters so that's partly why this song touches me. Trust me~sometimes BLOOD isn't even close to being your REAL BLOOD in your life if you know what I mean. Being there IS the only thing that counts and they didn't fail me on that. I came from a total OF 14 kids of HERS and I struck gold when it comes my parents. We didn't always have a lot of material things but we ALWAYS had a lot of love and laughter AND safety in our house. 😉❤😎

Kelly Clarkson WON the first season of American Idol. She went back at 9months pregnant, for the “farewell” season on Fox. (It was resurrected on ABC later!) She now has an Emmy-award winning talk show, and she’s a down to earth, relatable person. Love her! Check out her hits, like “A Moment Like This”; “Breakaway”, and my favorite, “Since U been gone.”

WOW, wow wow wow, THAT WAS TOUGH!!! The lyrics were hard enough to listen to, but her EMOTIONS, made it even more touching. If there is anyone who doesn't feel something from that peformance, then they must not have feelings AT ALL. For one does not have to know someone, to.... FEEL THEIR PAIN! Check out another great song from her, called "Because Of You". There are 2 videos of that song. One video, she sings it alone. The other one, she sings it w/Reba McEntire. Both videos are great. The first time I heard this song, I just listen to it on loop after my divorce and my father left when I was 6 months old. So this song spoke volumes to me. Got me through some hard times. It's a heavy song. Still making me tear up, now that I have an amazing husband that loves my kids as his own and supports me through everything, makes a so grateful and appreciated. Still cry when I hear this it's so emotional. She wrote an amazing song that speaks to sadly millions. Reba MacIntir "Because of you" great song and Artist.

For her to be able to keep singing and pick up her spot just highlights how talented she truly is. For me, this song hits home. My dad left when I was 6 weeks old and to this day we know where he is but he isn't interested in knowing me. There are times when it brings me down but I am proud of who I have grown into even without him.
