There where two distinctive beats roll into one, first one dance-hall, Admiral Bailey and another reggae beat song on by Cocoa Tea song su I DON'T UNDERSTAND how the Zouk got mixed up into this, anyway all Caribbean beats have some kind of similarity, but your statement is so far from the reality.
