There are 2 things a like a lot.. it plays evenly throughout the whole range of the horn into the extreme and its flexible - its a dark mouthpiece that gets bright when you push it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a piece that can cover a wide spectrum of styles.

It's hard to say. My preference is a Selmer MKVI but there are a lot of other good newer horns Yamaha, Yanagizawa, Burgani, Cannonball, etc... all of which are quite good.
