Jazza has a fanbase. He could sign a blank coffee cup and it would sell. I've seen internet personalities sell stuff like their old prescription glasses for thousands just because they put their name on it. I don't think Jazza is untalented. He's got mad skills. It's just the nature of fans. At least he sold something with thought, work and creativity.

Lauraniun I saw a guy sculpt this incredible sculpture of a dragon. It took him over a week and was INCREDIBLE. And...he wanted to sell it for $35. I refused to pay that and gave him $120 which I think was still too little, but he refused to take anymore. He said how he didn't particularly care about the money and is just excited when someone wants to buy his stuff, so he'll sell it for "whatever", and usually just covers materials plus maybe $5. I went back to the flea market and thankfully he was upping his prices a bit but still was selling pieces that could go for $200-$300 for $75. I said how a piece he made could easily go for $300 and he was like "yeah but..I feel weird asking for more than $90". I respect him and it's endearing to see him just want people to want his work..but it's sad because he could be truly making a living off it. It sucks when some artists don't see how much their work is actually worth. I hope Jazza takes your idea and is able to convince some artists to value their work more appropriately. Time + materials + skill. Not just "eh it costed me $20 to make so I'll sell it for $35". This guy was getting excited over $5-$15 profits when he wasn't factoring in his time for making it and his skill. It's sad. And unfortunately many artists do that.

The first paintings may be highly likely just a way that rich ‘questionable’ people move in a ‘legit’ way washed money under the table. Nobody in their sane mind would buy a canvas of just 2 colors & drop that type of money without any shady reason. Edit: I’m very suspicious of everyone including me, trust no one out there, anything can be turned into a shady practice. XD

Years ago my Canadian govt. bought a painting by Barnett Newman called, "Voice of Fire", and they paid around $3 million at that time. Needless to say, most people were not impressed. A farmer took a long piece of plywood, painted three stripes on it, stuck it up at the end of his lane and stuck a sign next to it which was called, "Voice of the taxpayer!" While I tend to fall on the intense realistic art side of the spectrum, it's fun to dabble in just letting loose and exploring in art, and some modern works do evoke feelings. Having said that, thank you, Jazza, for saying the obvious of how many of us feel, and revealing that the emperor has no clothing! Have a safe and happy day!

1:26 it should be pointed out that artists like these don't ask these prices (not because these two are dead) it's the art market at inflates the prices. It's a very strange culture this art collecor scene, many artists dispise it.

Somehow I would expect someone actually buying it to support Jazza and Jazza going and including a thank you illustration with the sculpture :D

You cant really judge these untill you see them irl. Especially Rothko. Price is still ridiculous, but art itself is much more than you can see from a photo.

He was joking until he got to the microphone and then his attitude shifted. He got into the FLOW and had to create. My observation and opinion.

He started to get into to it. I was actually surprised how long it took him to put together and it looked like he was genuinely having fun. I would agree that it seemed to have started when he picked up the microphone. I love the tripod, probably the most expensive and useful piece of the whole project. Go Jazza! Great job, Mate! Agreed, looked pretty professional and a good composition, especially next to some of the other unique sculptures.

When I first started painting I would make paintings like this because I sucked and it was easy to do. These guys are definitely a scam.

(When he put the koala on top) No not the koala! What has he done to you to bring him into this monstrosity. He’s too cute to die, he didn’t deserve this...

I particularly liked the placement and liberal use of construction adhesive. Genius. Highly under rated, investment piece.
