DennisJ (The Last Methbender) Yeah. It's so hard to not compare yourself, because watching Jazza make something in 10 seconds that looks better than 30 minutes of work for me can be pretty crushing. Have to keep reminding myself that the only person I need to compare to is my past self.

I've watched maybe 5 of your videos so far, and you've already taught me more about how to draw than a full semester of art class. Your passion really comes through in your presentation and it's that passion that then ignites and reignites the passion for art in others. So happy I found your channel.

I have a degree in fine art, but I haven't been drawing or painting as much as I love to with raising children and then I developed epilepsy. Your videos are helping me to get back on track. Thank you. I am normally a realism artist but I want to do illustration, so I am on a learning journey.

thank you for the info jazza, your are perfectly on point in this series in perfect order. I got stuck in the construction and perspective stages and forgot to continue on to the other basics and you have them in the right order and it's a great help to us beginners. it doesn't matter what style or whatever it is you want to create these things apply in this order and you cover them so well. thanks again

I haven't watched all your videos but I have been subscribed for about a year. I noticed that most of your work is cartoon-like with bold lines and bright colors, whereas other some other professionals go into insane detail. Being that everyone is different, is this is a style you decided to specialize in based on exploring different styles over the years? Thank you, and I hope your followers don't kill me. :)

Elliot Martin well there are other amazing artists out there who do the same thing yet they use simple styles ..... i see no harm in that but i am also confused . .. being able to draw so many different styles .. i wish i can do that DX

I never decided to have my style, it was just where i naturally gravitated based on the kind of art i enjoy and the mediums i work in. Thanks for your thoughts :)

Elliot Martin Don't forget that Jazza is also a professional animator. In animation, you avoid spending time on details because you have to draw the same thing over and over again, but slightly different (frame by frame in Adobe Flash, vector graphics). I've seen some illustrations from him and he is equally good on detailed artwork!

Oh i never heared of this. I only knew of the golden sight or something like this, its kind of a mix of some of your techniques used to get costumers the feel to buy something to balance out the shop items in the showcase. Its a mix of asymetry rule of third and positioning the objects.

I bought your brushes and im confused as to where to go from here. Here are some things i'd like covered Please!! - In Depth(i'm talking like 2 hours) Painting using your brushes/Kyles Brushes (From broad strokes to details) -Canvas sizes(like 2 minutes) for working in photoshop because im as lost as.... a random reference -Backgrounds -Proportions (This has been covered, but in small chunks. I'd like a summmary if you dont mind!) Hope i didnt come off as selfish or obnoxious, i just have so many questions.

If you watch anime, you know the asymmetry used at its full potential. When the hero is angry and about to go berserk, his eyed area are just dark shadowed by his hair. With background a simplistic white with particles flying around and a side angle with unsymmetric tilt. I am mostly talking about one piece which has abused this style for every moment of little tension.
