വളരെയേറെ ഇഷ്ടമായ സിനിമയാണ് ആമി. അതിലെ ആമിയായ മഞ്ജുവിനെയും ഏറെ ഇഷ്ടമായി. ഇത്രയേറെ വിമർശനങ്ങളും ആരോപണങ്ങളൂം ഈ സിനിമയോടൊപ്പം ഉണ്ടായിട്ടും അതിലൊന്നും കൂസാതെ ഒരു വിസ്മയം പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് നൽകിയ സംവിധായകനും നന്ദി . ഇതിനെതിരേ ആരോപണം ഉന്നയിക്കുന്നവരും ഇപ്പോഴും ഇതിനു മോശമായി കമന്റ് പറയുന്നവരും വെറും അസൂയകൊണ്ടും , അവരിലെ മാനസിക വൈകല്യങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടും, ചെയ്യുന്നതാണെന്ന് ഈ സിനിമ തിയേറ്ററിൽ പോയി കണ്ട ഒരു സാധാരണ പ്രേക്ഷകന് തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ കഴിയും. തന്നെയുമല്ല , ഇവിടെ വന്നിരുന്നും , അല്ലാതെയും ഈ മൂവിയെക്കുറിച്ചു മോശം പറയുന്നവർ സിനിമ ആസ്വദിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തതും, കാണാത്തതുമായ ഒരു നിർഗുണ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെട്ടവർ കൂടിയാണെന്ന് എന്ന് നിസ്സംശയം പറയാം . ആദ്യം ഈ വിമർശന വിഡ്ഢികൾ സ്വയം നന്നാകടേ

I knew madhavikutty aunty personally.i have seen her at my valiammas house .They were classmates.In the movie in certain scenes manju in many scene the way she looks was the same as madhavikutty Auntie looks.I felt manju lived the role.I don’t think anyone would have done this role better than manju.

Saw the film. It’s a super film. Beautifully crafted. Kamal is a great director and Manju is a superstar. She has done justice to her character. You see Manju for just two minutes after that to tell the truth you see only Madhavakutty. You forget it’s Manju. A beautiful film which is a classic. Well done and great work to the whole team👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼

ഈ സിനിമ വാണിജ്യപരമായി വിജയിപ്പിക്കാതെയിരിക്കുവാൻ വേണ്ടി , എന്തെങ്കിലും അവിശ്വസനീയമായ കോലാഹലങ്ങൾ കാണിച്ചു പ്രേക്ഷകനെ സംതൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തി അവരുടെ പണം മാത്രം ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന , കലയെന്തു - കലാമൂല്യമെന്തു എന്ന് ഒരിക്കൽപ്പോലും സാക്ഷാൽക്കരിച്ചു കാണിക്കുവാൻ അറിവില്ലാത്തതും താല്പര്യമില്ലാത്തതും അവർക്കു അപ്രാപ്യമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ മറ്റുള്ളവർ ചെയ്യരുത് എന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവരുമായ ഏതാനും ആളുകളുടെ പ്രരോദനങ്ങൾ മാത്രമായിരുന്നു ആമിക്കെതിരെ ഉയർന്ന വിമർശനങ്ങൾ എന്ന് ഏതൊരു പ്രേക്ഷകനും ആ സിനിമ കണ്ടിറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ മനസ്സിലാവും . റിലീസാകുന്ന സിനിമകൾ എല്ലാം തന്നെ വളരെ വൈകാതെ തിയറ്ററിൽപോയി ആസ്വദിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രേക്ഷക ആണെങ്കിൽകൂടി , ആമി കണ്ടതിനു ശേഷം മറ്റു സിനിമകൾ ഒന്നും കാണുവാൻ താല്പര്യം തോന്നുന്നില്ല , കാരണം ഈ സിനിമ മനസ്സിൽ നിന്ന് മായുവാൻ കുറച്ചു സമയം എടുക്കും - അത്രകണ്ട് ഗൃഹാതുരത്വം പകരുന്ന സിനിമ.

ആമി കണ്ടു . എന്തിനായിരുന്നു ഇത്രേം വിവാദം എന്ന് തോന്നി. കമൽ സംഭവ കഥ കലർപ്പില്ലാതെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതായിട്ട എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയത്. എല്ലാ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളും നന്നായി; especially Sreedevi Unni's grand mother role, Tovino's Krishna, the child artist who did Kamals's childhood charatcter, Murali Gopi and who else not? ഒരേയൊരു കഥാപാത്രം ഒഴിച്ച്. അത് വേറെ ഏതെങ്കിലും കഥാപാത്രം ആണെങ്കിൽ കുഴപ്പം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.Being a great fan of her, am very sad to say that മഞ്ജു വാരിയർ വേണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഈ റോൾ ചെയ്യാൻ എന്ന് തോന്നി പോയി. മഞ്ജു മഞ്ജു തന്നെയായി സംസാരിക്കുന്ന പോലെ ആണ് തോന്നിയത്. ഒരിക്കലും മാധവിക്കുട്ടിയുടെ സംസാര ശൈലി ആയി തോന്നിയില്ല. അറുപതുകളിലെ മാധവികുട്ടി ആയി മാത്രം രൂപസാദൃശ്യം തോന്നി. മിക്ക രംഗങ്ങളും മുഖത്തെ make up അരോചകമായി തോന്നി.

+suni ev ശോഭനയെക്കാള് മികച്ച നടി ആണ് മഞ്ചു.കാരണം മഞ്ചുവിന്ടെ സല്ലാപമൊഴികെ എല്ലാ സിനിമകള്ക്കും സ്വന്തം ശബ്ദം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് അഭിനയിച്ച നടി ആണ്. ശോഭനയ്ക്ക് നാഷണല് അവാർഡ് കിട്ടിയ മണിചിത്രത്താഴ് പോലും മറ്റൊരു ആളുടെ ശബ്ദം ആണ്. അഭിനയത്തില് 40%ഉം ശബ്ദം മാത്രം ആണ്. തിര മിത്ര് ഈ രണ്ടു ചിത്രം അല്ലാതെ 30 വര്‍ഷം അഭിനയിച്ച ശോഭനയ്ക്ക് സ്വന്തം ശബ്ദം. പിന്നെ ഭാവാഭിനയത്തില് ശോഭനയുടെ അഭിനയം 80കളില് below average ആയിരുന്നു. സിനിമയില് വന്ന് 6,7വര്ഷത്തിനു ശേഷം മാത്രം ആണ് ഭാവാഭിനയത്തില് മാത്രം ശോഭനയുടെ പുരോഗതി കാണുന്നത്.80 കളില് ശബ്ദം ഉപയോഗിക്കാത്ത ഉര്‍വശി 90 കളില് മലയാളം തമിഴ് ഭാഷകളില് സ്വന്തം ശബ്ദം ഉപയോഗിച്ചു.പിന്നെ നിരവധി വ്യത്യസ്തമായ അഭിനയം ഉര്‍വശിക്കുള്ളതുപോലെ മറ്റൊരു നടിക്കും ഇല്ല. ആദ്യം മുതൽ സ്വന്തം ശബ്ദം എന്ന ക്രെഡിറ്റ്.മഞ്ചുവിനും.സ്വന്തം ഭാഷയില് പോലും ശബ്ദം കൊടുക്കാത്ത ശോഭനയ്ക്ക് ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം കൊടുക്കാന് കഴിയില്ല.ഉര്‍വശിയും മഞ്ചുവും ആണ് അഭിനയത്തില് മുമ്പില്.

ആമിയെ മഞ്ജു മനോഹരമാക്കി അതിനു ഒരു തർക്കവും ഇല്ല, പക്ഷേ ആ സിനിമയിലെ രണ്ടു defect 1. മഞ്ജുവിന്റെ സ്വരം ആമിക്കു വേണ്ടായിരുന്നു,മഞ്ജുവിന്റെ സ്വരമായി തന്നെ വേറിട്ടു നിന്നിരുന്നു,വേറെ ആരെങ്കിലും ഡബ് ചെയ്താൽ മതിയായിരുന്നു, എങ്കിൽ കുറച്ചു കൂടി നന്നാകുമായിരുന്നു 2. കൃഷ്ണൻ സാധാ മനുഷ്നായി വരാതെ ഭഗവാനായി വന്നിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ (മഞ്ഞപട്ടും, ഓടകുഴലും ) സിനിമ വേറെ ലെവലിൽ എത്തുമായിയുന്നു.
